Baltimore / Washington Bullets legend Wes Unseld has died at 74 years of age, his family reported. 

Unseld, who is a member of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame,  won the MVP and Rookie of the Year awards in 1969. The Kentucky born was also a five-time All-Star, four-time NBA finalist and 1978 champion with Washington.

After retiring, Wes Unseld, was coach and GM for Washington's franchise.

Currently, his son, Wes Unseld Jr., is an assistant coach with the Denver Nuggets.

The Commissioner Adam Silver released an statement regarding Unseld's death.
