A magnificent performance from Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards helped his team to take the reins of the Conference semifinals series.
The Timberwolves' second-half comeback was too strong for the Denver Nuggets as they claimed a 106-99 victory.
First Half
Minnesota Timberwolves' Edwards netted a three-pointer to help his side post nine points on the board to provide them with a blazing start.
Denver Nuggets forward Aron Gordon successfully smashed home a dunk to claw two points back for the team.
Evans continued to punish the Nuggets as he recorded a further five points, including another lethal three-point shot.
Michael Porter Jr. finished a well-worked Ally-oop before teammate Reggie Jackson lasered a three to pull Denver back into the game and into the lead.
Minnesota went into the second quarter trailing a slim lead of two points.
The Timberwolves started well in the second period of twelve minutes after Kyle Anderson dunked for two points.
However, soon after the Nuggets' Christian Braun replied with a dunk of his own after smashing the ball home.
Denver star Nikola Jokic propelled his side further ahead after scoring a basket.
Braun tallied further points after completing an alley-oop.
Despite Edwards' best efforts, the Timberwolves went into the halftime break chasing a four-point deficit.
Edwards displayed a magnificent first-half performance after he recorded 25 points and four rebounds.
For the Nuggets, Jokic notched 15 points, four rebounds and five assists.
Second Half
Porter Jr's attempt at scoring a basket was denied by a superb block from Edwards before Karl-Anthony Towns rewarded the move with a slam.
Again, Jokic managed to net a basket in the last minute of the third quarter to claw his side back into the game.
A huge shift from the Timberwolves in the quarter saw them take a slender two-point lead heading into the final 12 minutes of the game.
Edwards rallied the troops after nudging his side head after scoring firing two successive buckets.
Soon after, Naz Reid made a significant impact as he propelled his team further into the lead.
He drilled a three just before the buzzer sounded, and moments later rose the highest to slam home the ball.
Reid's period of excellence did not stop there, he soon scored a successful two-pointer basket, whilst he was fouled, resulting in a further three points.

Edwards' spinning shot in the dying embers of the game provided Minnesota with a huge 11-point lead.
Jokic lasered a late three to give the Nuggets a lifeline in the matchup.
However, Edwards bulldozed down the court before securing Minnesota's win with a lay-up.
Throughout the game, Edwards tallied 43 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
Fellow teammate and guard Mike Conley Jr. recorded 14 points, four rebounds and 10 assists.
Nuggets' Porter Jr. notched 20 points, six rebounds and one assist.
Jokic scored a total of 32 points, eight rebounds and nine assists.
