In the post "Big Three" era in Boston, the Celtics finally found themselves in the playoffs this season. The Celtics also own the Los Angeles Clippers pick along with their own pick, so they can improve their team with this draft and make a big improvement.

However, the Celtics are looking to do more in this draft. When addressing the media recently, Celtics GM Danny Ainge stated "There should be a lot of movement on draft night, so stay tuned."

Ainge continued to say that the team is looking to trade both of their picks to trade up in the draft. This can allude to the Celtics are currently in talks with teams to trade up and that the team may be close to a deal involving picks.

Ainge was also asked whether it is more important to draft based on need or draft the best player available. Ainge responded and said "Best player. Always best player. Rosters change." This statement shows two potential possibilities. The first is that the Celtics target is up at the top of the board and are trying to trade up to a potential top five or top ten pick. The second is that the Celtics may also be looking to trade away some players in these deals, showing they may have more needs then are currently present.

The Celtics already made a big move during the season by trading away their star point guard, Rajon Rondo. The Celtics could be looking to draft the next centerpiece for their team and they want to trade up to do that.

Draft night is soon approaching and fans will be looking to see what Danny Ainge will do on draft night, because it becoming clear that Ainge will make a move, it is just what move the Celtics will make. Thursday cannot come soon enough for Boston.
