Enes Kanter was traded from the Utah Jazz to the Oklahoma City Thunder in a three-team deal before the NBA trade deadline. Kanter made comments earlier about how he wanted to be traded before the deadline and that he was not interested in being with the team long term.

The Jazz were willing to trade Kanter because they have an up and coming defensive force in Rudy Gobert. With Gobert's emergence this season, the Jazz were able to trade Enes Kanter along with sharpshooter Steve Novak to the playoff pushing Oklahoma City Thunder. The Jazz, in return, got some cap space, and a European seven footer that is playing overseas.

Saturday night marked Kanter's first return to Utah to face his old team. After the two sides parted ways the way they did, you expected something to be said from the player or the team. It was the player who decided to speak up.

Enes was asked about how he felt playing with his new team, and it started to get out of hand for Kanter. He said, "I actually like playing basketball here. I feel comfortable here."

He was then asked about his relationship with Russell Westbrook. "I've never had a point guard like him. I've never had a point guard," Kanter responded. Right there, he was taking shots at Jazz point guards Trey Burke and Dante Exum.

The last question Kanter was asked was what he has missed about Utah and his response, after thinking for a moment, was "mountains. That's it I guess." That comment was a huge slap in the face of Jazz fans.

As you can probably tell, the 22-year old big man is not the most mature for his age. He was taking shots at an organization that treated him with nothing but respect during his three-year tenure in Utah. They gave him many chances, and he just didn't fit with the core the Jazz are trying to build around (Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors, and Rudy Gobert).

Enes Kanter had to know what he was setting off when he made those comments. He had to know the fire and the passion that the Jazz were going to play with becuse of these comments. But the fans were probably more angry with Kanter than the Jazz players were.

The always loyal and loud Jazz fans gave Kanter the boo birds all night long. Every time Kanter touched the ball, he could expect boos until the ball was out of his hands. It was a playoff atmosphere in the EnergySolutions Arena Saturday night all because of some silly comments made by a young NBA player.

The Jazz also decided to take those comments personally. The Jazz didn't start the game off very well at all. But in the second half, the Jazz started to pull away from the Thunder, and ultimately won the game to earn their 32nd win of the season.

Trey Burke, who was called out by Enes Kanter earlier in the day, went off for 22 points, four assists, and six rebounds with a plus-minus of plus-five. This game was huge for the young guard as he has had a very up and down year shooting wise.

Enes Kanter didn't have himself a bad night after all, scoring 18 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. But he was a minus-seven on the floor tonight.

Post-game, some Jazz players were asked about how the Enes Kanter comments fueled them tonight. Here are some of the best responses:

"It kind of pissed us off, honestly. It fueled the fire for us," Gordon Hayward said.

"I wanted to kick his butt." Trevor Booker added. "He got his stats and he got his L as always."

The Jazz ended up getting the last laugh at former Jazz forward/center Enes Kanter with the W. Enes Kanter will have to wait for next season to get his revenge on the Jazz as the Jazz and Thunder won't play again until next season.

This loss for the Thunder does put a dent in their playoff hopes, but according to ESPN.com's Playoff Odds, the Thunder still has an 89.7 percent chance of making the post season.
