The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Detroit Pistons on the road, 102-93. Kevin Love finished with a game-high 24 points on 8 of 16 from the field, grabbed nine rebounds, dished out three assists, and was on fire from three-point range, hitting eight triples out of 14 attempts. He tied his career high for three-point makes in a game. Love also played a good game on defense. LeBron James posted a double-double with 19 points, plucked seven rebounds, gave out 11 assists, and stripped away three steals.

LeBron did have nine of the Cavs' 14 turnovers in this game which is way too much for him. Kyrie Irving put in 18 points and handed out five assists, but he was only 6 of 16 from the field. Timofey Mozgov played exceptional with 14 points on 5 of 6 from the field, grabbed six rebounds, and blocked four shots in 20 minutes. Meanwhile, Kendrick Perkins made his Cavalier debut and scored two points in two minutes. 

The Cavaliers have now won 16 of their last 18 games. They have really shown they can compete for a championship at this point. Their next game is at home against the Golden State Warriors which will be a huge measuring stick for the Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers defense really stepped up in the second half. They allowed 63 points in the first half, but they only allowed 31 points in the second half. They were, in fact, down by as many as 14 points in the third quarter, but ever since then, they dominated the Pistons and ended up with the win. The Cavaliers held the Pistons to 93 points on 40.2 percent from the field. On offense, they scored 102 points and shot just 44 percent from the field, but they hit 37.8 percent on 14 of 37 from three.

For the Pistons, newly acquired Reggie Jackson led the way with 22 points to go along with eight rebounds and nine assists. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 21 points and buried five three-pointers. Andre Drummond chipped in a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.  

The Pistons were off to a good start to this game, as they were up by 14 in the third quarter. Thanks to Cleveland's tight defense, it through Detroit out of sync on offense, and the game got away from them. The Pistons ended up losing by nine and battled to the end. The Pistons are still in the hunt for a spot in the playoffs, and they did just beat the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards at home which were two enormous wins for them.
