In what seems to be a salary dump type of move, the Utah Jazz are willing to buyout Kendrick Perkins after acquiring him from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Kendrick Perkins was one of the few pieces Utah got back in the three-team deal that sent Reggie Jackson to the Pistons, Enes Kanter, Steve Novak, Kyle Singler and D.J. Augustin to Oklahoma City, and Perkins, Grant Jerrett, a first-round protected pick from the Thunder and a second-round pick from the Pistons to Utah. Perkins has reportedly drawn interest from the Cleveland Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls, and Los Angeles Clippers, three teams that did not make any moves at the trade deadline on Thursday afternoon.

Perkins is averaging four points and five and a half rebounds per game as a bench role player for the Thunder this season. Perkins currently has a $9.6 million expiring contract.

JaVale McGee, acquired by the 76ers from the Denver Nuggets, as well as Tayshaun Prince, who switched from Boston to Detroit, are two more likely buyout candidates due to their salary obligations.

In addition, the New Orleans Pelicans are expected to buyout Shawne Williams, who was acquired from the Miami Heat along with Justin Hamilton and Norris Cole.
