When speaking to the official Davis Cup site, Lukas Rosol said, ''France is a really, really strong team.'' He also went on to say, ''they play with depth. They have enough players to make two teams so it's not going to be easy. We are playing at home so we have the advantage of the home crowd but last time we played we lost to them badly.''

However, the 30-year-old noted the importance of the home crowd by saying that they can help you if they really need it and can also help you progress to the next round. Speaking about that, Rosol added that he hopes to have loud cheers from the crowd and their help to help the Czech's bid for a semifinal place.

Recent meetings between the Czech Republic and France

The last encounter between those two selections came two years ago at the semifinal stage when the French side defeated the Czech side with a convincing 4-1 win at Roland Garros on the clay courts. Their last eight tie is scheduled to be held from July 15-17 in Trinec, Czech Republic. The home side will also be without their number one player Tomas Berdych as they aim to win the Davis Cup for a fourth time with the victory last coming in 2013 where they defeated a Serbia side 3-2 in Belgrade.
