Olesya Pervushina barely broke a sweat in dismantling Aussie Jaimee Fourlis to emphatically reach the second round.

Pervushina dominates from the off, cruises to first set win

The Russian is the top seed in a major for the first time after her maiden win at Grade A level, taking the  Trofeo Boniglio and her superiority showed right away, breaking Fourlis' serve. The Aussie would hold in her next service game, the lone tally on the scoreboard for her as Pervushina would rattle off the final four games of the set to take it 6-1 in 23 minutes, finishing with a flurry, winning 16 of the last 21 points.

Pervushina continues fine form, wins second set with comfort to reach round two

At this point, the outcome was clear, although Fourlis did break Pervushina to open the set, her lead amd whatever modicum of momentum she had was quickly erased as the Russian broke back at love. Her dominance was quickly re-established and she won five of the last six games, leaving Fourlis as a helpless bystander, unable to do anything to stop the top seed from steamrolling into round two, the set won by a 6-2 count in 28 minutes, the match a mere 51 minute exercise for the best junior at Roland Garros. She won 20 of the final 31 points in the set, reminiscent of the way she closed out the first set.

Pervushina dominant on serve

The Russian dominated this match, but her serve was a particular strong point, losing a meager 14 points in totality, nine of them coming in the two games Fourlis broke in the second set. With the exception of those two games, Fourlis never reached deuce in any other Pervushina service game and won a measly three points from the top seed's delivery in the first set.
