Bernard Tomic has refused a meeting with Tennis Australia to “clear the air” with them and stands by the comments he made about them following his Wimbledon loss to Novak Djokovic. The Aussie number one refuses to hold a meeting until his sister’s funding is reinstated.

Earlier this week, this writer took a shot at Tomic insisting he get his act together before he falls apart. Last week, the 22-year-old was arrested in his Miami Beach Hotel for trespassing and resisting arrest without violence.

Following his Wimbledon loss, the Aussie had some choice words for Tennis Australia and some of its most important people. He said about Craig Tiley, Tennis Australia CEO and Australian Open tournament director, that everything started changing for him when he came in and even said that Tiley was the reason that he’s been up and down for the past few years.

Last week, Tomic sat out of Davis Cup play with Australia due to a conflict between the governing body of tennis in Australia and his father. The Tomics were none too pleased about the lack of funding that his sister Sara has gotten throughout her career. She is currently 17 years old and is ranked in the 600s in the WTA, meaning she is playing Futures and Challenger events to earn points.

TA president Steve Healy wanted to hold talks with Tomic to discuss the issue and for a chance to “welcome him back to the Davis Cup team”. He has said that he is available for the Davis Cup by saying he is always ready, willing, and able to play for the country in the semifinal tie against Great Britain.

Tomic also insisted that he has a great record in Davis Cup and thanked past Tennis Australia administrators for the financial support they have given his family.

The Aussie is set for a semifinal showdown in Bogota against Michael Berrer. The 22-year-old is the defending champion at Bogota defeating Ivo Karlovic in three sets in last year's final
