Qualifying for the next World Cup on the Asian continent will begin on October 12 this year and will run until November 2025. With the possibility of 48 participants in the next World Cup, Asia could secure up to 9 places, which is more than double the number of places it had in the previous World Cup. Of these places, 8 will be awarded directly, while one will be up for grabs in the intercontinental playoff.
