Ones to watch

Javier Hernandez (Los Angeles Galaxy)

Chicharito was among the goals in the win over Vancouver and now has ten on the season as he is enjoying another fine season. Having scored against Seattle this season, the Sounders will have to be aware of the Mexican star at all times.

Albert Rusnak (Seattle Sounders)

He scored the Sounders only goal in the defeat to Salt Lake and figures to have an advantage in the middle of the park, especially offensively, with the Los Angeles midfield undergoing a transformation.

Previous meetings

In March, the two sides played one of the most exciting matches of the year with Seattle coming out on top 3-2.

Javier Hernandez finished off a fine passage of play to put Los Angeles on top after just six minutes, but Jordan Morris leveled, just getting enough on his shot.

Fredy Montero drew a penalty after being fouled by Julian Araujo and he stepped up to take the spot kick himself, beating Jonathan Bond to put the Sounders in front.

Early in the second half, a free kick from Douglas Costa took a slight deflection past Stefan Frei, but in the 72nd minute, a free header from Xavier Arreaga proved to be the difference.

How to watch

The match will be televised nationally by ESPN with kickoff set for 10pm Eastern time.
