Here is the starting XI for Ecuador (4-4-2).

Here is the starting XI for the United States (4-3-3).

A win would also mean the U.S. would advance to the semifinals of the Copa America for the first time in 21 years, when America finished fourth in 1995.

A Yankee win at CenturyLink Field on Thursday night would likely set up a meeting with Leo Messi and Argentina in the semifinals, as Argentina are strong favorites to defeat Copa surprise Venezuela in their quarterfinal in Foxborough Saturday.

"Seattle is a place where they're going to be 1,000 percent behind us and going to push us," Klinsmann said. "We experienced that a few years ago against Panama. It's getting bigger and bigger, and to play this game in front of the Seattle crowd is huge for us."

The United States will have a huge advantage on Thursday night, simply by hosting the match in Seattle.

"They try to play good football, and they will be a very difficult rival. But we are ready."

"United States is a strong and fast team, and they have great forwards," Ecuador coach Gustavo Quinteros said.

At full strength now, Ecuador knows they can go tow to tow with an American side that has shown flaws. Enner Valencia and Miller Bolaños will look to exploit the weaknesses in the American defense.

“It has been a real team effort and the atmosphere from the playing staff to the coaches has been excellent,” Guzan told TheGuardian.com on Wednesday. “We cannot control what happens on the outside and will let others judge on how we are doing.”

“We know it’s going to be hard,” he said. “But every game from here on out is going to be a difficult game, and we’re confident we’re playing with a good vibe right now.”

American goalkeeper Brad Guzan expects his teammates in front of him to give all they have on the pitch in the rematch Thursday.

"You have a good sense for them. But this is a 50-50 game, it's a knockout game. It's do or die. A couple of special players were missing then," Klinsmann said.

The USA and Ecuador faced off in a friendly before Copa America, where the Americans snatched  a late 1-0 victory in Frisco, Texas.

The only match in an official competition between the US and Ecuador came in the 1993 Copa AmericaEcuador won the match 2-0.

“There’s a reason why Jurgen picked the guys that the picked to bed on this team. We’re confident in whoever steps in,” goalkeeper Brad Guzan told U.S. Soccer's official website. “We all are confident with each other in terms of training, in terms of playing with each other on the pitch. So whoever he picks to come into the starting 11, we know they’re going to do a great job and fill in for DeAndre, who obviously we’ll miss.”

“He’s a logical inclusion in the squad,” said Klinsmann. “He has always been there for the team. Every time he’s come in, he’s done a good job.”

It appears that Micahel Orozco, who was brought in after Yedlin's red card, will take the former Seattle Sounder's spot in the Starting XI.

The United States will have to break up the lineup consistency Klinsmann has built within the first three matches, as DeAdre Yedlin was sent off in Philadelphia and is suspended for Thursday's match.

“This is a knockout game. Knockout games in big soccer tournaments like a World Cup, like a Copa América, are nerve-wracking games,” Klinsmann said. “It’s down to your belief. It’s down to your willingness to suffer, to go really through pain. This is what the players will go through on Thursday night.”

“We want to prove ourselves against the top nations from South America and we’re doing great so far. But this is a big-time game,” Klinsmann told SoundersFC.com “Ecuador is top-15 in the world. This is a big team.. It’s going to be a nail-biter. It’s going to be a 50-50 situation. They want to go badly now into the semis. We want to go badly in the semis.”

Those who perceive Ecuador as an easier opponent for a knockout stage match are wrong, according to USA head coach Jurgen Klinsmann.

Ecuador, on the other hand, finished second in Group B. Ecuador's 4-0 win in New Jersey against Haiti secured them a spot in the knockout rounds.

The United States capped off their group stage with a 1-0 win over Paraguay in Philadelphia. Along with Colombia's loss to Costa Rica, the USA's win allowed them to win their group and play in Seattle.
