This week, the MLS Disciplinary Committee handed out two fines and a suspension for incidents in the last round of matches. Highlighting this week’s disciplinary report is Toronto FC goalkeeper, Chris Konopka

Konopka was suspended one match for endangering the safety of an opponent during his club match against New York City FC this past Sunday.

During the 59th minute of the game, with Toronto leading 3-2, NYCFCs' Andoni dribbles into the box and attempts a shot on goal, only to have it broken up by a sliding Konopka who goes in hard on Andoni’s legs, and wipes him out. Konopka slides in and raises his right boot with studs showing, that hits Iraola in the shin and sends him flying in the air. The call would go unnoticed by referee Ted Unkel and NYCFC would earn a corner kick on the ensuing play.

Also being punished this week is New York Red Bull's midfielder, Lloyd Sam. Sam was fined an undisclosed amount for his incident against the New England Revolution

Sam was fined for embellishment in the 34th minute. In the incident, Sam went up against young phenom Juan Agudelo. Both players both made contact with their arms on one another, but Agudelo let go while Sam's right hand went around Agudelo’s back part of his neck. While running, Sam then threw his head back as if he had been hit in the face and drug down Agudelo with him. The call was awarded a direct free kick to the Red Bulls, and Agudelo was booked.

Finally, the last player to be fined is Vancouver Whitecaps' defender Kendall Waston for his incident against Sporting Kansas City

Waston was fined an undisclosed amount, after he allegedly high kicked Dom Dwyer in the stomach. Dwyer took exception and stood up against the much taller Waston and shoved. When Waston put his hands up to show innocence, Dwyer shoved the defender one more time. Waston went down to ground, but not holding his stomach, but holding his head as if he got hit in the head.

Dwyer was not put in the list of players to be sanctioned by the Disciplinary Committee. Yellow card was enough.

For this week, both Lloyd Sam and Kendall Waston will be available for selection for their clubs respective matches. As for Konopka, he will miss this match when Toronto faces the Philadelphia Union. Keeper Joe Bendik will most likely get the start.
