It has been a rough couple of fixtures for the Chicago Fire. They have let games slip away after good starts and they have all resulted in losses. Now they find themselves second to bottom on the table in a tough Eastern Conference, but the Fire gets back on track when they face Louisville City FC of the USL

Louisville City has had a great debut season in the USL. They currently sit 4th in the USL Eastern Conference table and are in prime position for a playoff spot. They have used that momentum to advance to the 4th round in their inaugural season in the US Open Cup. After beating Lansing United, they beat the Indy Eleven in thrilling fashion. Louisville scored a brilliant goal in the 115th minute of a tie game in extra time and they added a second one to seal their place in this fixture. Louisville City will not be intimidated by the Fire as they have shown poise and promise so far in this cup run.

This will be a big game for the Fire as they need to break out of their slump if they want to advance in this Cup and have some momentum heading back into MLS play. They stand only three points off the Columbus Crew, who hold the final playoff spot currently in the East. If the Fire can bounce back and win this game, it would be a huge momentum shifter for the home team.

The Fire needs a spark and they need it from somewhere. Louisville City is coming in riding a hot streak and this could be a dangerous game for Chicago. They cannot underestimate a team like Louisville otherwise things could get even worse for Chicago this season.
