MLS Power Rankings Week 27

1.  Real Salt Lake- Had control of the game even before the Timbers red card. RSL breezed on by and stay a top of the rankings. (4-2 W vs. POR)
2. LA Galaxy- Look unstoppable at the moment. Ran riot on San Jose this past weekend. Keane and Donovan are becoming the most feared strikers in the MLS. (3-0 W vs. SJ)
3. Colorado Rapids- Even with a loss vs. Kansas they still had a franchise best 9 game unbeaten streak. We will see if they can bounce back from a tough LA team this Saturday. (2-1 L vs. SKC)
4. Sporting Kansas City- Huge win over Colorado. Zusi getting fully fit again and Feilhaber becoming his old self. But a huge loss with Kei Kamara heading to Middlesbrough of the Championship League of England. (2-1 W vs. COL)
5. Seattle Sounders- With an early red card to Leo Gonazlez the Sounders still held off the Crew. Then headed back home to Seattle to face a better Chivas USA side we have seen in awhile without Martins, Dempsey, EJ, and Evans. Grinding out results that matter. (1-0 W vs. COL , 1-0 W vs. CHIV)
6. Montreal Impact- Either they are hot or don’t turn up at all. Which side will come to the playoffs? (0-0 D vs. PHI)
7. Portland Timbers- Tough loss vs. RSL at home. Red card didn’t help the matter but Porter needs to change something quick if the Timbers want to change their current run of form. (4-2 L vs. RSL)
8. NY Red Bulls- Props to Petke he decided to sit Henry on the bench. A good boost of confidence to a NY side who has had a rough couple of weeks. (2-1 W vs. DC)
9. New England Revolution- May we see a NE Rev side be in the playoffs? With their current form they have a chance to keep up the good work. (1-1 D vs. TOR)
10. Philadelphia Union- Had a great match and showed depth vs. the #1 in the East Montreal. (0-0 D vs. MON)
11. Houston Dynamo- Looks like Houston had the thought that a point would do them in Chicago. Came and parked the bus most of the match. Went to Columbus and looked terrible. (0-0 D vs. CHI , 2-0 L vs. CREW)
12. Chicago Fire- Chicago will need to start giving their full 90 if they want to make the playoffs. (0-0 D vs. HOU)
13. Vancouver Whitecaps- They have no room to take another loss. Every point counts from here on out if they want to have a chance to make the playoffs out of a very tough West Conference. (2-2 D vs. CHIV)
14. FC Dallas- Had a bye this past week but they will need a Win and nothing less against Vancouver. (BYE)
15. San Jose Earthquakes- Disappointing match vs. LA. If they are to win here on out they will be playoff contenders but this team doesn’t look like they would stand a chance vs. teams as the Sounders, LA or RSL. Good Luck SJ. (3-0 L vs. LA)
16. Columbus Crew- With an almost embarrassing loss vs. the Sounders playing 10 men for 80+ they bounced back Wednesday night and beat the Dynamo 2-0. (1-0 L vs. SEA , 2-0 W vs. HOU)
17 Chivas USA- What a good draw vs. the Whitecaps. But a disappointing loss vs. the Sounders Wednesday night. (2-2 D vs. VAN , 1-0 L vs. SEA)
18. Toronto FC - Decent draw vs. NE Revs. But their DP’s stole the show. (1-1 D vs. NE)
19. DC United- Sad season for DC United. Will need to start looking to make signings to improve for next season. (2-1 L vs. NY)
