MLS Power Rankings Week 26

1. Real Salt Lake- Thumped the Columbus Crew 4-0 at Rio Tinto. Crew did not stand a chance against the solid form of RSL. (4-0 W vs. CREW)
2. LA Galaxy- 1-0 win vs. Vancouver showed that they can grind out results on the road. (1-0 W vs. VAN)
3. Montreal Impact- Completely thrashed the Dynamo 5-0. Shows they are easily the team to beat in the East. (5-0 W vs. HOU)
4. Colorado Rapids- Bye week helped them regenerate and get ready for Sporting Kansas City on Saturday. (BYE)
5. Seattle Sounders- Got a huge win against Portland on Dempsey’s debut to move them up a few spots. Back in the playoff mix. (1-0 W vs. POR)
6. Portland Timbers- With a loss vs. the Sounders, can the Timbers turn it around this Friday against RSL? (1-0 L vs. SEA)
7. Sporting Kansas City- A tough defeat to Chicago sees KC slowly dropping down the table. (1-0 L vs. CHI)
8. Chicago Fire- With a HUGE win vs. Sporting Kansas City sees them moving up the table. Has a serious chance of being a playoff contender. (1-0 W vs. SKC)
9. NY Red Bulls- Embarrassing. Unacceptable from Petke. With the easiest stretch till the playoffs and they are showing up like this? (3-2 L vs. CHV)
10. Houston Dynamo- With a 3-1 win over the Sounders to a 5-0 Loss vs. the Impact. Sounds like they need to figure some things out in training camp (5-0 L vs. MTL)
11. Vancouver Whitecaps- With a disappointing loss at home vs. the Galaxy they will need to start turning around their season if they want to make it to the playoffs.
12. New England Revolution- Absolutely best game of the season for NE Revs. Played like they had something to prove. The sure did that. (5-1 W vs. PHI)
13. Philadelphia Union- After a goal called back everything turned around, thought they would have adapted better. (5-1 L vs. REVS)
14. San Jose Earthquakes- Are going to have to step it up big time if they want to make it to the playoffs. As of now they will be wishing they could replay some games. ( 2-2 D vs. FCD)
15. FC Dallas- With a decent result vs. San Jose with hopefully make their season turn around. (2-2 D vs. SJ)
16. Columbus Crew- Higuain out for the next two games is what Crew fans do not want to hear. It can get real ugly quick unless they change something quick.
17. Chivas USA- A much deserved result vs. NY this past weekend. Showed potential and that they can learn from their losses. (3-2 W vs. NY)
18. Toronto FC- A very bland game vs. DC just shows that fight is coming to an end. Nelsen needs to get in the right frame of mind to keep his team on track. (1-1 D vs. DC)
19. DC United- De Rosario shows he can only perform his best for about 50 minutes. C are going to have to find some fight out of someone else if they want to turn around the remainder of the season.
