MLS Power Rankings Week 25

1. Real Salt Lake- With a 4-2 loss at LA I still see RSL gaining from this. (4-2 L vs. LA)
2. LA Galaxy- If LA can keep Donovan till the end of the season and the form Keane and him are in they have potential to winning another MLS Cup. Keane’s Hat trick vs. RSL proved they can compete with any team. (4-2 W vs. RSL)
3. Colorado Rapids- 9 games unbeaten. Have a Bye Week to work out the nooks and crannies and become a contender for the MLS Cup if they keep form. (2-0 W vs. VAN)
4. Portland Timbers- Portland winless in a month, Valeri can change that just as he did bagging 2 assists. (2-1 W vs. FCD)
5. Houston Dynamo- BBVA Compass Stadium is a fortress. Can they take on MLS play and CCL (Concaf Champions League) conflicting between each other? (3-1 W vs. SSFC)
6. NY Red Bulls- With a 0-0 tie vs. Philly was a bad result for NY. But don’t let NY fool you. (0-0 D vs. PHI)
7. Sporting Kansas City- Without Zusi and Kamara Sporting KC looked terrible. But with them coming back from international duty they shall regain the form they were once in. (0-1 L vs. SJ)
8. Montreal Impact- With an impressive performance vs. DC they’re defense was a tad flat at times. Can they manage CCL play with MLS play as well? (2-1 W vs. DC)
9. Seattle Sounders- Coming off a 3 game win streak before Houston Seattle were grinding out results, But can the Sounders give a winning display vs. Portland this weekend on Dempsey’s home debut? (3-1 L vs. HOU)
10. Vancouver Whitecaps- Without Miller and Camilo the Caps looked average. Having them back this coming week will help them out a lot. (2-0 L vs. COL)
11. Philadelphia Union- Awesome result vs. NY. But with Jack MacInerney scoreless in 8 the Union might have to look towards the bench for another attacking option. (0-0 D vs. NY)
12. San Jose Earthquakes- When Wondolowski is on the team sheet the Quakes are unbeaten this season. Give Wondo the service he wants and good things could happen. (1-0 W vs. KC)
13. Chicago Fire- Fires DP’s need to step up when Magee can’t score. They need to start clicking if they want to progress. (2-0 L vs. REVS)
14. Columbus Crew- Not the best time to start getting things together but don’t count them out of the mix. (2-0 W vs. TFC)
15. New England Revolution- Even though signing a contract with Stoke City out of the EPL Agudelo is the Revs main man. Give his the ball and he can make you win. 2-0 W vs. CHI)
16. FC Dallas- Not winning a game in almost 3 months till this past Wednesday. Winning 3-1 vs. Chivas with 10 men. But the prior week losing to Portland. (2-1 L vs. POR) (3-1 W vs. CHI)
17. Toronto FC- Nelsen is the man to have as their coach. He can restructure this team into a winning team. But first he needs to start with the defense if they want to have a better run in the remainder in the season. (2-0 L vs. CREW)
18. DC United- With Ben Olsen being ejected DC showed fight, but didn’t prevail. If they can show that fight every game they can better their season. (2-1 L vs. MTL)
19. Chivas USA- A well needed Bye Week to help them try to recoup from the spell they are in. Losing to a 10 man Dallas team should be unacceptable. Chivas need a turning point soon, real soon. (BYE) (3-1 L vs. FCD)
