Jeff Gordon prevailed in last night's Pure Michigan 400 from Michigan International Speedway in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series to get his third win of the 2014 season ahead of Kevin Harvick, who came home in second place in the 200 lap race.

On a weekly basis in the NASCAR section of VAVEL USA there will now be a piece showing the results and the updated standings for the top three series -- Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck.

Below is the Chase Grid for the 2014 Sprint Cup Series season where 16 drivers will compete for the Sprint Cup trophy in four races time:

As it stands, the first twelve drivers in the Chase grid have guaranteed their place by winning a race, but final four of Kenseth, Newman, Bowyer and Biffle are in on points. 

On the outside looking in there are four other drivers who could potentially jump into the four spots held by drivers in on points, Kasey Kahne in the #5 is -9 points back from Greg Biffle, Austin Dillon in the #3 is -22 points back, Kyle Larson is -24 points back and Marcos Ambrose is -44 points back.
