Marcos Ambrose made it four wins in the last four races that he has entered in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Watkins Glen International.

The last time he went to victory lane was in 2010 to make it three victories on the bounce at The Glen for the Australian driver. Between 2008 and 2010 Ambrose dominated on the road course and became known for his talent on the left and right turn courses on the calendar.

Kyle Busch in the #54 car came home in 2nd place after trying to run down the Australian in the #09 car for the last five laps.

After the race he told ESPN: "We just didn't have the speed today and we didn't have the track position dur to not getting a good starting spot. That crash came about because I was racing someone who just doesn't give a crap about anyone."

The King Richard Petty was overjoyed for Ambrose after the race, as Ambrose drives for Richard Petty Motorsports, and told ESPN: "He's just unflipping believable, anything you put him in he's just great, especially in our cars lately. This win can give him that extra incentive to win tomorrow and get in that top 16 for the Chase.

Three more Sprint Cup Series drivers rounded out the top five, Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski and Matt Kenseth with Chase Elliott being the highest finishing Nationwide Series driver in 6th which enabled him to retain his points lead.

The race began with Keselowski in the #22 starting on pole alongside team mate Logano in the #12 car. The first lap showed what was to come during this action packed race as Kevin O'Connell in the #23 spun coming around turn 7 after a tap from James Buescher in the #99.

Keselowski was slow out of the Carousel on lap four which stacked the top four up bumper-to-bumper but none of them sustained much damage to their cars.

Logano became the second leader of the race on lap 6 as he out broke Keselowski into turn one and sailed passed his team mate. On the same lap 3rd and 4th place drivers Ambrose and Busch spun when Busch clipped the barrier into the Bus Stop and hit Ambrose.

Keselowski was back to the lead on lap 10 through turn 7 as Logano went wide and slowed as Keselowski went through on his inside.

The first caution of the race was thrown on lap 12 when Kenny Habul in the #75 car was hit by Trevor Bayne in the #6 which sent him spinning and dropping debris though the Bus-Stop.

Both cars were on pit road under the caution for repairs as the top six cars stayed on the track but Elliott, Kyle Larson and Kwasniewski were all given penalties for various rule breaking on pit road.

The restart on lap 17 saw Keselowski in the lead but for the next six laps there were a number of lead changes as the leaders came down pit road for their first pit stops.

On lap 23 Ty Dillon in the #3 had to come down pit road as he had lots of grass debris on his grille which allowed Mike Bliss in the #19 to take the lead.

Shortly after on lap 25 the second caution was shown when O'Connell was spun in the Bus-Stop after contact from Bayne.

After the next restart in which Ambrose was back to the lead it wasn't long until the third yellow flag of the race was waved when on lap 35 J.J Yeley in the #28 was spun by Bayne as they went into turn 6 leaving Yeley with big front end damage.

Yeley showed his displeasure towards Bayne when he came back around as the young driver who will get a full-time ride in the Cup Series next year wasn't making many friends around the track.

The latest restart came on lap 39 and going into the Carousel Habul was once again around after spinning on his own but it stayed green.

At the half way point on lap 41 Ambrose remained out front as the Cup Series drivers had dominated the first half of the 82 laps race, Elliott was the highest placed Nationwide Series driver in 8th.

The fourth caution was shown on lap 42 when debris from Ryan Siegs #39 machine was over the track into turn 6.

On lap 44 at the restart Keselowski and Busch were both in the grass through the Bus-Stop when Keselowski carried too much speed and Busch had to avoid him squirreling all over the track.

Lap 50 saw Ambrose make his final stop and Logano come down the pit road for his last stop one lap later. When they were both back on the track Ambrose remained out front by 0.2 seconds.

Lap 53 saw Road America winner Brendan Gaughan to the point as the leaders carried on coming in for their last pit stop of the race. But their was more bad luck for Larson as he received his second speeding penalty on lap 54.

On the same lap Chris Buescher in the #60 got into the back of Regan Smith in the #7 which left the driver of the #60 with front end damage and Smith had to come down pit road to get the lug nuts on the left rear tightened.

Luckily for Smith, who was 2nd in the Nationwide Series points standings, the caution flags were out again with 22 laps to go when Landon Cassill in the #01 car blew a front right tire into turn 6.

The next restart saw more action at the Bus-Stop turn when Keselwoski was once again into the grass as he carried too much speep into the turn.

There was bad luck for another Nationwide regular with 16 to go as Gaughan in the #62 overheated and had to come down pit road to get the cooling units attached to the car which out him two laps down.

Habul was once again around in turn 6 with 13 to go when he was clipped by Dakoda Armstrong in the #43 but the race stayed green.

Just one lap later Tanner Berryhill in the #17 spun on his own out of the Bus-Stop turn and once again the race stayed green.

It was starting to heat up in the last part of the race as Ambrose held a slender 1.18 second lead over Logano in 2nd with just ten laps to go.

Dylan Kwasniewski became the latest Nationwide regular to have trouble with nine to go when he got a hit from Smith out of turn one when he was running in 19th.

A lap later there was more bad luck for the Series rookie when he suffered a front right flat tire and had to come down pit road and to add insult to injury the race stayed green.

With five laps to go Busch was into 2nd place as he passed Logano, who had began to drop back from Ambrose, out of turn 6.

Ambrose suffered front left damage to his car with only three laps left when he was trying to pass Roger Reuse in the #74 car who was a lap down and misjudged the gap he had.

For the final two laps it looked as though the damage was affecting Ambrose as Bausch started to close the gap, but the Australian road course specialist managed to use all of his skill to secure his 4th win on the bounce at The Glen.
