The Montreal Canadiens look for their first win in over a week on Tuesday night when they continue their eight game road trip against the Minnesota Wild in game three.

Last night was not exactly ideal for the team following the latest mixup conducted by head coach Michel Therrien, as the result was not a good one. This time, it was against the Nashville Predators who took the win by a final score of 5-1, while the Habs continue their constant struggle with defense which has fallen in the recent past. Another issue of note would be the lack of scoring, as all games within the past 10 days have not logged more than 15 combined goals scored.

That being said, Mike Condon is all rested up and is ready to go, therefore will be called upon tonight where he will try to thin things out after a strong performance in morning practice at the in the Twin Cities.

Jeff Petry will remain out another game with an undisclosed upper body injury. An extra defenseman will be a game time decision. Jared Tinordi played in his first game of the season as his replacement after having built up upon his skill and time during a brief conditioning stint in St. John's. No obvious signs of struggle or pain were shown during his first display of 2015.

After the game, Tinordi had a chance to speak with the media about the whole situation where he said, “It’s tough when you’re not playing. Mentally, you have to stay positive as much as you can. You have to show up to the rink every day. You never know in this league – things change quickly. Really I just wanted to let my work ethic shine through every day that I wasn’t playing. I thought I was physical and I thought I played steady. As the game went on, they had a few fortunate bounces that they capitalized on but overall I thought I played a steady game.”

Tinordi showed no signs of fatigue as he threw three hits against the Predators with no worrysome reaction immediately following.

As per some words of wisdom from P.K. Subban, he says he sees his team’s current battle with adversity as an opportunity for growth in the long run.

“You always look forward to the wins and the good times, but this is where we need accountability and we need character and we need guys to just push forward. It’s not an easy time for anybody, but I think it’s a good thing for our team to go through something like this. We have to find a way to get out of it.”

In terms of the attitude of his dissapointed teammates, he said, "Right now I don't think we're getting the results we deserve. I think we're playing some good hockey, but we have to find a way to keep pushing throught it. It's just about being positive. I know there's going to be a lot of negativity, but we have to keep that on the outside of our dressing room."

Reflecting on the way he played on Monday, Subban had a rather strong performance as he shot four while dishing out four hits, as well as an assist to Alex Galchenyuk who gave the team their first point of the night during period three.

In other news, forward Michael McCarron has been assigned to the St. John's Ice Caps after appearing in only one game on Saturday night against the Dallas Stars. RW Devante Smith-Pelly finds himself back on the ice after missing last night's game due to a healthy break, which has to do with the fact he was activated from the IR ahead of Saturday's game after having missed the last three weeks of play due to an injury in which he suffered back on December 3 against the Washington Capitals.

Again, it is expected that head coach Michel Therrien will give his team a different look tonight as the lines will be re-shuffled in an effort to find new levels of comfort between players. The club looks to get back on the right track with defenders doing what it is they did, starting off the 2015 season undefeated.

Puck drop is scheduled for 8:00pm ET and is available for viewing on SNE and RDS while the game can be heard on 98.5FM and TSN 690.
