It was a poor showing by the Chicago Bears last Saturday. They were thoroughly beaten by the Cincinatti Bengals in all three phases of the game. Andy Dalton and AJ McCarron carved the Chicago defense through the air and without any of his wide receivers, Jay Cutler was left helpless on offense.

The poor effort resulted in a 21-10 loss and has many Bears wondering if their strong showing against the Colts was a fluke. They had weak starts in their first pre-season game as well but were able to rebound when the backups came in.

But Chicago won't be taking any chances with the starters in this game. Expect the starters to play very little in this game. It is the 4th pre-season game and this game is for the players who are on the roster bubble and are trying to make the roster. Many of the players playing will likely be playing for their jobs.

But for the Browns, this can serve as a chance for Josh McCown to solidify his spot as the starter for the Browns. With Johnny Manziel out for the rest of the pre-season, McCown has gotten a chokehold on the starting spot and a strong showing could make up for his poor efforts earlier in the pre-season.

The Bears also have a mini quarterback battle going on as well. It was suppose be between David Fales and UDFA Shane Carden. Fales missed a lot of time this pre-season due to an illness and has not played much. Carden, who impressed in college at East Carolina, has not played much either this game could have been used as a measuring stick to see if any of these QB's should make the roster. But Carden was waived by the Bears this week and it we are now left to speculate what he could have done while he was on the field.

The Bears last running back roster spot was suppose to be a tight one as well. It was suppose to be between Senorise Perry and Ka'Deem Carey. All signs pointed to Perry, a good special teamer as well, staying but he was placed on IR this week. This opens the door for Ka'Deem Carey to try and show his worth to the team.

The Bears also made moves by trading for Texans tight end Khari Lee for a sixth round pick. With Martellus Bennett was the lock in starter, Lee will likely be fighting for a roster spot as the backup. But the odds are in his favor. Given the fact that Lee is a UDFA and the Bears traded for him, means he has a great chance of making the roster.

It will be a battle for roster spots as the Bears look to finish 3-1 against the Cleveland Browns in the 4th and final pre-season game.
