The Indianapolis Colts made major moves in the 2015 off-season and are certainly one of the Super Bowl favorites for this season. This will be the last season before the Colts have to pay Andrew Luck the kind of money that he deserves, which will be close to the deals that Cam Newton and Russell Wilson received over the summer. Indianapolis brought in veterans Frank Gore and Andre Johnson to improve the offense, giving the team a great possession receiver and dependable runner to go with an already talented arsenal of weapons for Luck, including T.Y. Hilton, Donte Moncrief and Dwayne Allen. They beefed up on defense by signing Trent Cole and Kendall Langford, two guys known for getting after opposing QB's, and improved the offensive line by signing guard Todd Herremans

The draft also improved the defense, particularly against the run, which was the Colts Achilles heel in 2014. Stanford provided them with Henry Anderson and David Parry, both quality run stuffers during their college career, as well as CB D'Joun Smith who has kick and punt return ability in addition to being scrappy and confident in pass coverage. Their first round selection Phillip Dorsett was regarded as one of the fastest recievers in the draft to add even more depth and talent to what looks to be a stacked passing attack.

One of the Colts most notable off-season signings was from the CFL, as they came to terms with Duron Carter, son of Hall of Famer Cris Carter. He has made noise in practice and, according to head coach Chuck Pagano, makes a play every day that makes you say "wow". Him and Dorsett will likely be the fourth and fifth receivers behind Hilton, Johnson, and Moncrief but could be integral parts of the Colts future.

Andrew Luck has already become one of the NFLs elite passers after just 3 seasons. He threw for 4,761 Yards and 40 TDs last year to go with 16 interceptions, a number that he would like to get down. Traditionally, the ratio for elite QB's in the NFL is roughly 35 TD's to 10 Interceptions and Luck has addressed this issue many times in off-season interviews. Luck may finally have a strong tandem behind him, as veteran Frank Gore will team up with the biggest surprise of 2014 for the Colts, Dan "Boom" Herron, who provided a spark at RB last season. Vick Ballard, who has battled injuries for 2 years, will be back as well and figures to be in the mix, if he can stay healthy.

The Colts passing offense ranked first in 2014, but the rushing offense was in the bottom half of the league. Similarly, the passing defense was top 10 in the NFL, anchored by pro-bowl CB Vontae Davis and S Mike Adams, but the rushing defense was bottom 12. The Colts were able to contain WRs such as A.J. Green, Torrey Smith and DeAndre Hopkins, but were consistently gashed by opposing rushers, including Jonas Gray, who scored 4 TD's against the Colts during the season. The pass rush, with the additions of Cole and Langford, as well as the return of 2013 sack leader Robert Mathis, should make an immediate impact on the defense. LB's Jerrell Freeman and D'Qwell Jackson will be in charge of leading the run defense in Indianapolis.

All-In-All, GM Ryan Grigson pulled the trigger on several big moves to take the Colts from a dark horse to a Super Bowl favorite. He re-signed T.Y. Hilton, brought in four key veterans to improve his team overall and through the draft and a few other signings, has added talent and depth to his roster. Luck will make great plays once again, but the 2015 season will come down to the Colts ability to run the ball, and stop the run on defense.
