Will be interesting to see how the new look Chicago Bears defense plays tonight. Let's see if Vic Fangio can turn around a horrid defense.

Hello, once again, I'm Vijay Vemu and we are about 30 minutes from kickoff between the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins

The first pre-season is more about getting back into the groove of things and playing most of the second stringers. Like in the Hall of Fame game, don't expect many of the Week 1 starters to play much or at all.

Another thing to look for will be the battle for Chicago's backup job. Jimmy Clausen stepped in when Cutler went down and he will have to fight for his job again with second year man David Fales and Shane Carden. Carden is a player to look for as he showed NFL like skills at East Carolina and has shown the tools to be a dual threat quarterback with his size and speed.

The key matchup will be the Bears secondary against the Dolphins offense. With new additions Kenny Stills and Jordan Cameron, Miami's passing attack is looking dangerous even without rookie DeVante Parker. Chicago's secondary got ripped open in every game they played and Bears fans are hoping that Vic Fangio can help change some of that. They also got new players in Antrel Rolle and are hoping second year man Kyle Fuller can improve on his decent rookie season. Although they may only play against each other for a couple of series, we get a glimpse at Chicago's new defense and if it can improve this season.

For the Dolphins, it will be Ryan Tannehill. He got a huge contract this offseason and he will have to prove it. With his size and his decent running ability, he has the chance to be a solid dual threat quarterback. The last time these two teams played, he burned the Bears on the read option and will be looking to make use of that ability along with his new weapons this season. In a division where only the Patriots seem to be the only big problem, the Dolphins have a good chance at sneaking into the playoffs via the wild card.

The player on the Bears looking for a bounce back year will be obviously Jay Cutler. To many people's surprise, there was a time where some considered Cutler a top quarterback and had Chicago destined for the playoffs. That was two years ago and Chicago quickly fell off a cliff and missed out on the playoffs, including a last minute loss to the Packers on the final day.

On the defensive end, the big addition will be Ndamukong Suh. He will be facing a familiar offense in the Bears and will look to set an example for a Dolphins defense that was horrid in 2014. Suh will look to be the anchor this season that will look to be stable enough to get them into the playoffs.

As for the Dolphins, the new addition on offense to look for will be Kenny Stills. Stills was brought over in the off-season and it was a very underrated move. He was a dangerous deep threat for the Saints and Ryan Tannehill will be looking for Stills deep all season. He wasn't a main target in New Orleans but he will be used more in Miami

The new addition to look on defense for the Bears will be Pernell McPhee. McPhee had 7.5 sacks for the Baltimore Ravens last year and will be looking to wreak havoc for the Bears this season. Vic Fangio has installed a 3-4 defense and McPhee is the perfect player to play in that system. It will be interesting to see what impact he makes for the once daunting Bears defense.

The new addition to look for the Bears on offense will be Eddie Royal. Rookie Kevin White is out with injury so Royal will be the man to watch for on offense. The former San Diego Charger will be looking to fill in the slot for the Bears and will likely battle with Marquess Wilson for the third wide out on the depth chart.

The last time these two teams met, the Dolphins walked into Chicago and stunned the Bears 27-14. This was Week 7 of last year and Chicago will be looking for revenge.

After narrowly missing out on the playoffs, the Miami Dolphins will be looking to improve upon an 8-8 season. If not for a losing streak at the end of the season, the Dolphins would have been in the playoffs and the outlook on the team may have been different.

This is a beginning of a new era for the Bears as John Fox comes in after the horrible season that Chicago endured under Marc Trestman. Chicago will be looking to improve on that horrid 5-11 record which landed them dead last in the NFC North

Welcome to VAVEL USA's coverage of Week 1 of the NFL Preseason. The John Fox era will begin for the Chicago Bears as they take on the Miami Dolphins and Ryan Tannehill. This matchup will be covered by Vijay Vemu.
