It has been reported by WRTV Indianapolis that former Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne has gotten interest from four teams in the NFL. The 36-year old has said he wants to come back for another year and play for a contender. The report says the four interested teams are the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens, and the Houston Texans. Here is a list of the interested suitors and why Wayne would fit, or not fit with them as well as a prediction for Wayne's final destination.

New England Patriots

Right now the current Patriots starting WR's are Julian Edelman and Brandon LaFell. Following them are the often injured Danny Amendola and the unreliable Aaron Dobson. With no number three receiver in place for the Patriots I think Reggie Wayne would fit right in with the Pats as a reliable player for Tom Brady and a mentor to some of the younger players.

Green Bay Packers

While it has been rumored the Packers are interested, where is there a place on this team for Wayne. The Packers right now have one of the best WR duos in the NFL with Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb. Following them is an rising star in second year player Devante Adams. Also the Packers drafted WR Ty Montgomery out of Stanford in this years NFL draft. looking at this crowded WR group Wayne would at best be their number four or five pass catcher. Green Bay just isn't a great fit for Reggie Wayne.

Houston Texans

The Texans lost veteran WR Andre Johnson to Wayne's former team and AFC South rival, Indianapolis Colts so what better way for them to get revenge than signing Reggie Wayne. Right now the Houston is starting DeAndre Hopkins but behind him it is all unknown. Will it be Cecil Shorts III? Or what about the young rookie Jaelen Strong? With no number two behind Hopkins, Wayne would be a good fit with the Texans. He can help mentor the young players as well as play an important role in this system. Houston would be smart to sign Reggie Wayne.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens lost Torrey Smith in free agency and drafted Breshad Perriman to try and replace him. Signing Wayne to help fill a WR void doesn't make much sense as the Ravens also having another aging veteran in Steve Smith Sr. Smith Sr., is also 36-years old and why would Baltimore want two 36-year old receivers? Wayne is not needed in Baltimore as they already have a veteran receiver.

Prediction- In the end, this writer predicts Reggie Wayne will end up with the New England Patriots. Wayne would be a good fit as a third receiver there. The Pats also have a history of picking up veteran WR's at the end of their careers. This includes Joey Galloway, Torry Holt, and Chad Johnson. The Patriots will sign Wayne to a cheap contract and Reggie Wayne will be a good contributor to this New England Patriots team.
