The San Diego Chargers (2-1) started out hot against the Buffalo Bills (2-1) and did not look back on Sunday at Ralph Wilson Stadium. They ended up winning 22-10. The only real "loss" for the Chargers came in the first quarter when Danny Woodhead injured his right ankle. He was the backup after starting running back Ryan Mathews was lost earlier in the season with a right knee issue.

The Chargers were led by none other than Philip Rivers. He played a tremendous game going 18 for 25, 256 yards through the air and two touchdowns. He did not throw an interception. Rivers was only sacked once for a lost of five yards.

Third-string running back Donald Brown struggled. He ran 31 times for 62 yards, giving him only two yards per carry.

Malcom Floyd proved that he is a receiver to keep an eye on in the future. He had two receptions for 98 yards. His longest catch was for 49 yards. Eddie Royal added four receptions for 42 yards and two touchdowns for the Chargers. Also, Ladarius Green added four catches for 64 yards.

EJ Manuel has started to prove that he can be trusted as a starting quarterback. He threw for 238 yards on 23 for 39 passing and one touchdown. He did not throw an interception through the whole game, however, he did fumble once. Fred Jackson passed the ball once. It was incomplete.

Using his feet, Jackson carried the ball six times for 34 yards. His running mate C.J. Spiller rushed the ball 10 times for 25 yards.

Jackson had an all around great game. He added eight catches for 78 yards and a touchdown to his resume. Rookie Sammy Watkins caught two passes for only 19 yards.
