Week 2 Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em

Start of the Week

QB Colin Kaepernick vs. Chicago - The Bears were dead last in rush defense last season while the 49ers had the 3rd most rush attempts. That is what makes Kaepernick a must start this week is his mobility. His ability to run, coupled with the strong 49ers play action attack, will equal a ton of fantasy points in week 2. Heck, Chicago gave up almost 17 points to the very mediocre EJ Manuel last Sunday. Start Kaepernick and enjoy.

Quarterbacks

Start ‘Em

Andrew Luck vs. Philadelphia - Luck recorded 370 passing yards and 3 total touchdowns last week against a very good Denver defense. Up next is the Eagles, who made Chad Henne look very good last week (in the first half at least). Expect big numbers from Luck on Monday Night Football.

Tom Brady @ Minnesota - Brady threw 56 times last week against Miami, but only accumulated just over 14 fantasy points! The Patriots rarely lose back-to-back games and if they implement a more balanced attack as expected, Brady will be lights out on Sunday. In his last 8 road NFC games he has failed to throw multiple touchdowns...once.

Sit ‘Em

Philip Rivers vs. Seattle - If The Seahawks can hold Aaron Rodgers with his weapons to just over 10 points then fantasy owners should not even think about using Rivers against the "Legion of Boom." It does not matter if Seattle is on the road, stop thinking about it.

Robert Griffin III vs. Jacksonville- The Jaguars' defense looked good for the first 30 minutes against the Eagles. They are extremely underrated and well coached. Ultimately Griffin looked awful in the preseason, awful last Sunday against the Texans and until he proves otherwise should not be started. Expect another awful performance against Jacksonville.

Running backs

Start ‘Em

Alfred Morris vs. Jacksonville - You should sit their quarterback but do not keep Morris out of your lineup. The Jags allowed 26 fantasy points to Eagles' running backs in Week one. The Redskins have quarterback issues and will rely heavily on the run, which means Morris owners everywhere are in line for a good week.

Chris Johnson @ Green Bay - Do not be fooled by RB Chris Ivory's long touchdown. This is Johnson's backfield and the Packers without B.J Raji in the middle looked questionable against the run allowing Marshawn Lynch to have a very big game. The Jets are not the Seahawks, but they will be successful on the ground in week 2.

Sit ‘Em

Steven Jackson @ Cincinnati - Jackson returned from Injury last Sunday and posted 52 yards on the ground off just 12 carries. Seems like a good average but he lost touches to not only Devonta Freeman, but also Antoine Smith and Jacquizz Rodgers. On top of the losing touches he faces a very good run defense in Week 2. He may get a 1-yard TD, but it's a situation you should stay away from.

Doug Martin vs. St. Louis - The Rams’ offense looked absolutely terrible in week one against the Vikings. The Rams lost 34-6, which means Adrian Peterson, must of had a good day right? Wrong. Peterson had 21 carries for 75 yards. Now, if St. Louis can hold the best RB in football to just 75 yards then the injury prone Martin will struggle heavily (if he even sees the field).

Wide Receivers

Start ‘Em

Larry Fitzgerald @ New York (Giants) - The trend around Fantasy football circles is that Michael Floyd has taken over as the #1 in Arizona. It may have looked like it in week 1, but that is not the case. Against the Giants in week two, owners will get the performance they expect from Fitzgerald. The Giants were shredded by the Lions pass attack allowing almost 300 yards to Golden Tate and Calvin Johnson alone. Expect the same from the Cardinals

Emmanuel Sanders vs. Kansas City - Sanders was Targeted 9 times against the Colts and looks to be a big part of the offense moving forward, especially in the absence of Wes Welker. Kansas City will key in on the Thomas duo, which will open up more room for Sanders. He is in line for a very big day.

Sit ‘Em

Jeremy Maclin @ Indianapolis - Maclin had a solid performance in Week 1 (15.7 points) but most of his points came on a broken play where he was left open for a 67 yard TD. The Colts held Demaryius Thomas in check and should have no trouble with Maclin on Monday. Stay away.

Victor Cruz vs. Arizona - Cruz is up against a very tough Cardinal secondary that held San Diego Chargers #1 WR Keenan Allen in check. On top of that, Cruz has failed to find the end zone at home since 2012. Not someone you want in your lineup.

Tight ends

Start ‘Em

Zach Ertz @ Indianapolis - Recording 77 yards and a touchdown in week one Ertz is beginning to look like an elite fantasy right end. Now, he is facing a defense that gave up three 1st half touchdowns to TE Julius Thomas in week one. The Eagles at Colts game figures to be very high scoring with Ertz heavily involved.

Greg Olsen vs. Detroit - Olsen proved he is a must start moving forward on Sunday. Against the Bucs he hauled in 8 grabs for 83 yards and a TD. He is going to be a target machine this week against a Lions defense that gave up 56 yards and a TD to Giants TE Larry Donell! So as you can see, Olsen is a great play.

Sit ‘Em

Kyle Rudolph vs. New England  - Vikings OC Norv Turner said Rudolph would be a focal point in this offense. It did not seem that way in week one. Up against an angry New England Patriots team in Week 2 you should not be expecting much from Rudolph. The Pats allowed just 6 TDs to opposing tight ends in 2013.

Antonio Gates vs. Seattle  - Did Gates look good Monday against The Cardinals? Yes. Do the Cardinals give up a lot of points to tight ends? Always. Is Gates as explosive as he used to be? No. Oh, and he's up against the Seahawks... sit him.

D/ST

Start ‘Em

Arizona @ New York (Giants) – The Cardinals should be in line for a big fantasy day if Eli Manning plays anywhere near the level he did on Monday. The Giants O line is shaky and their passing game is even shakier.

Bills vs. Miami - Besides the Seahawks, the Buffalo Bills have had the best opponent QBR rating since 2012. They also gave Ryan Tannehill fits last season. They sacked him 9 times, picked him off 4 times, and forced him to complete just 29 of 64 passes (45%). Plus it is Buffalo's home opener. After gaining new ownership, they will be playing inspired football.

Sit ‘Em

Vikings vs. New England - The Patriots lost in week one. They will be angry and ready to unleash their offense on the Vikings. The Vikes looked good in week one, they will not look good this week. Stay far, far away.

Lions @ Carolina - Detroit looked good against the Giants in Week one. They picked off Eli twice, recorded two sacks. Unfortunately, Cam Newton is a different beast. If he starts stay away from the Lions who will have trouble containing The Panthers.
