DeSean Jackson's status is currently still 'questionable' an hour before kickoff as the Redskins get set to take on the Patriots in their preseason opener Thursday night. The offseason acquisition left practice with a twisted ankle injury yesterday and was seen hobbling around with a taped-up ankle after practice.

Jackson would be making his team debut after signing a three-year, $24-million contract in the offseason. The receiver was cut lose by the Eagles after questions surrounding his character, though the Eagles have yet to give a definitive reason as to why they parted ways with the 27-year-old.

Should Jackson play, he'd be going up against Darelle Revis, who also changed hands in the offseason and signed a one-year, $12-million contract with New England in March. While Jackson would likely only see a few series on offense, it will be the first time the Redskins will be running new head coach Jay Gruden's offense in game situations under offensive coordinator Sean McVay.

It appears that Jackson's injury isn't serious, so if he does miss Thursday's game he'll likely be out there next week when the Redskins take on the Browns on ESPN.
