The Baltimore Ravens end the season with an 8-8 record as they fell to the Cincinnati Bengals 34-17 with a lot on the line as the Ravens had a chance to clinch a playoff spot.

The Ravens started out the game well on defense creating two interceptions early, but the Ravens' offense once again failed to capitalize on the turnovers as they had to settle for field goals on both occasions. Red zone struggles has been a common theme for the Ravens over the course of the season.

With this loss, the Ravens organization will have a boatload on their mind, in hopes to make the playoffs again next year. Look for this changes to the system-

Key Notes:

1. Changes will be made especially on the offensive side of the ball. Don't expect Ravens' right tackle Michael Oher, left guard A.Q. Shipley, and center Gino Gradkowski to return as starters along the offensive line entering the 2014 season.

2. At offensive coordinator, Jim Caldwell is on the hot seat as well as the offense ranked 29th in the NFL with no creativity, as well as long lacking short plays in the passing game to help assist a running game which is ranked 30th in the NFL.

3. The wild card on the defensive side of the ball in terms of stability is defensive coordinator Dean Pees who is working with young, and inexperience on all levels of the defense. But with that being said, the Ravens' defense plays a “bend but don't break” style of defense, and the Ravens' organization pride itself on being stout on all areas of the field on defense.

4. It remains to be seen how long the Ravens will stick with the current philosophy on defense, but an attacking defense is one that people should look forward to entering the 2014 season.

5. At tight end, expect the Ravens to re-sign Dennis Pitta, and add a tight end high in the draft to help franchise quarterback Joe Flacco have a big target over the middle of the field.

6. At wide receiver, expect the Ravens rookie Marlon Brown to enter the 2014 season as a starter opposite Torrey Smith as the rookie has developed chemistry with Flacco over the course of the season.

7. Fullback Vonta Leach isn't expected to return as the Ravens went to the pistol offense, and phased out the I-formation almost completely.
