Guaranteed Rate Bowl
The Guaranteed Rate Bowl is an annual college football game played in the state of Arizona since 1989.
Originally named the Copper Bowl from inception until 1996, it was known as the Insight.com Bowl from 1997 to 2001, then the Insight Bowl from 2002 to 2011, the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl from 2012 and 2013, and the Cactus Bowl from 2014. through the 2017 season. In 2018 and 2019, the game became known as the Cheez-It Bowl. In 2020, Guaranteed Rate signed on as the title sponsor of the game, renaming it the Guaranteed Rate Bowl.
When the bowl was initially founded, it was played at Arizona Stadium in Tucson, on the campus of the University of Arizona. In 2000, organizers moved the game from Tucson to Phoenix. There, it was played at what is now known as Chase Field, the home of Major League Baseball's Arizona Diamondbacks.
The 2020 edition of the Bowl was canceled due to insufficient equipment available to fill all 2020-21 Bowl games, following a season affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This Bowl has been televised on three different networks: TBS (1989-1991), ESPN (1992-2005 and 2010-present) and NFL Network (2006-2009).

Chase Field, formerly called Bank One Ballpark, is a retractable roof baseball park located in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. It is home to the Arizona Diamondbacks, the city's Major League Baseball franchise. It opened in 1998, for the Diamondbacks' first game as an MLB expansion team. It was the first stadium built in the United States with a retractable roof over a natural grass playing surface, which was replaced by synthetic grass in 2019. It currently seats 48,405 people.
Chase Field's roof opens or closes based on playing time temperature. Even when the roof is closed, the park windows let in enough sunlight so as not to overheat the stadium with artificial lights. An HVAC system then lowers the temperature inside the park to approximately 25.5 ° C when the gates are opened.
