Ole Miss, who beat BYU for a first four round of 68 game Tuesday night, had a quick turnaround facing off against a tough Xavier team in Jacksonville, Florida. Xavier dominated both halves after coming out strong on an 11-3 run in the first five minutes of the game, and didn't look back.

Xavier shot 46% from the field, including 43% from he perimeter and 66% from the free throw line, out shooting Ole Miss in all three catagories. Leading the way for Xavier, who will have to play Georgia State in the round of 32, was center Matt Stainbrook who had 20 points going 8-10 from the field and 4-4 from the free throw line, while also adding nine rebounds, five assists, two steals, and a block. Dee Davis also had a good game with 17 points, going 5-10 from the field and 4-9 from the perimeter, knocking down 3-4 free throws. James Farr had a team high 13 rebounds for Xavier.

Ole Miss, however, had a bitterly cold game, shooting a poor 33% from the field and 22% from three. No player had more than 14 points, and no one had more than five boards other than Martevious Newby who had 13. Ole Miss, however did make the tournament once again, and are a team to watch next year as well.

Xavier's next game will be vs. the heavy underdog Georgia State, who pulled off an unbelievable upset earlier today against the Baylor Bears. The winner will move on to potentially play Arizona in the Sweet 16.
