Michigan swept Siena with final scores of 6-4 and 11-0.

The Michigan Wolverines played two games against the Siena Saints on Sunday to close out a four-game series. The Wolverines prevailed in both events to sweep the Saints with ease.

GAME 1

Siena got out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning after a double from Justin Esquerra and a single by Joe Drpich. The Saints made it 3-0 in the third inning, and Michigan was dead silent.

Michigan went off in the fifth inning for five runs on five hits. Jacob Cronenworth doubled to deep right field, and Jackson Glines singled to right to give them three of the five runs. Later, Cody Bruder doubled to right, and he racked up two RBI's on that hit alone. From then on, Michigan was able to cruise to a 6-4 win.

Jackson Lamb did a great job of coming in to pitch in the fifth inning and shutting the door on Siena to preserve the win. Lamb got the win, and Cronenworth got the save.

Cronenworth, a junior, earned his 20th save of his career, placing him alone in second on U-M's all-time saves list. If he can surpass 32 saves, he will hold the all-time record.

Cronenworth, Glines, and Bruder all finished with two RBI's each. They were the prime factors to the Wolverines' success.

GAME 2

Michigan got off to a hot 3-0 start after the first inning. They ended up scoring 11 runs thanks to three RBI's each from both Cody Bruder and Carmen Benedetti. Jackson Glines went 3-for-3 in the 11-0 win over the Saints.

The biggest story for Michigan came on the mound. Brett Adcock went 7.0 innings strong and gave up just two hits while fanning 11 batters. The strikeout total topped his career high; his previous was seven. He owned the complete game and is now 1-1 on the season.

Glines is hitting .524 this season and has an 11-game hitting streak.

Michigan is now 6-5, and Siena drops to 1-10.
