2:16 PM ET: The showdown for the Big Ten West comes to a head as the #18 Minnesota Golden Gophers (8-3) travel to Madison for a meeting with the #14 Wisconsin Badgers (9-2). The winner of the game will face off with Ohio State for the Big Ten Crown next Saturday night.

2:14 PM ET: Florida State has won three of the last four meetings allowing Florida to score a total of 21 points in those three wins. Florida does have some history on their side as they have won four of the last five meetings in Tallahassee going back to 2004.

2:12 PM ET: An SEC-ACC affair from Tallahassee, Florida as the Florida Gators (6-4) square off with the #3 Florida State Seminoles (11-0). Florida State has already secured their place in the ACC Championship Game where they will face Georgia Tech. They still need two wins to secure a spot in the College Football Playoff.

2:10 PM ET: We have so many great games going on during this time on this last day of the Regular Season for most of the conferences. Some of the more intriguing games that kickoff in this same coverage window are as follows:

2:08 PM ET: The team has actually gained only 199 less yards rushing than they have through the air coming into today’s game.

2:06 PM ET: Robinson and Prescott have combined to run for nearly 2,000 yards this season with a combined 23 touchdowns on the ground. That is the same number of touchdowns thrown by Prescott in 2014.

2:04 PM ET: There are two players that need to be stopped by the Ole Miss defense if they want to have any shot at a victory. Quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Josh Robinson are those two. The passing game is something that they will need to be aware of but the running game was needs to be shut down.

2:02 PM ET: The crazier of the stats is that they have averaged at least 5.9 yards per play in every win this season. They only earned 4.9 per play against Alabama.

2:00 PM ET: Mississippi State has gained over 400 yards in every game in 2014. Their lowest total was 428 yards against Alabama just two weeks ago in their only loss of the year.

1:58 PM ET: The reason they can do that though is because of their offense. An offense that averages 512 yards gained per game, a mark that ranks them 9th in the country.

1:56 PM ET: Mississippi State employs more of a “bend but don’t break” defensive mentality. They have allowed 4,408 total yards of offense to their opponents in 11 games so far this season yet they are still ranked just 12th in the nation in points allowed at 18.4 per game.

1:54 PM ET: On the other side of the field, Mississippi State is still in a good position to crash the College Football Playoff. Their biggest problem is that they still are not guaranteed a spot in the SEC Championship Game. They will need to win and hope that Auburn beats Alabama later tonight for the Bulldogs to face off with Missouri for the SEC Championship.

1:52 PM ET: The thing that has kept Ole Miss as strong as they were this season was really their defense. They have the top-ranked defense in average points allowed at 13.5 points per game. Ole Miss has held their opponents to 10 or fewer points in five of their 11 games to date.

1:50 PM ET: Bo Wallace came back with a very solid performance throwing for 339 yards. He actually had three different receivers go over the 100-yard mark including the 118 yards gained by Evan Engram.

1:48 PM ET: Ole Miss followed up that game with a very tough home match with the Auburn Tigers. It came down to the final play but Auburn was able to keep the Rebels out of the end zone to hold on for a 35-31 win to knock Ole Miss out of playoff contention.

1:46 PM ET: The biggest factor in the loss though was the poor conversion rate on third down for Ole Miss. The Rebels went 5-of-17 on third down conversions which put away any hope they had of keeping the run-first clock killing offense of LSU off the field.

1:44 PM ET: Even the running backs were having trouble getting going. If you take away a 30-yard run from Cody Core, the running backs only gained 107 yards on 33 carries. Jaylen Walton was held to 29 yards on 12 carries. Wallace was actually the leading rusher with 40 yards on 12 carries.

1:42 PM ET: Ole Miss was only able to gain 313 total yards. Bo Wallace had one of his worst games completing 14-of-33 passes for 176 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

1:40 PM ET: The story of the game was really just how much LSU’s defense bailed out their offense despite gaining 406 total yards (264 on the ground). The Tigers gave away the ball four times, two fumbles lost and two interceptions.

1:38 PM ET: The LSU Tigers rode an outstanding performance by their defense to make up for their terrible ball control to win 10-7, giving Ole Miss their first blemish of the season.

1:36 PM ET: All of that talk changed on October 25, when Ole Miss was not able to escape from the place where dreams go to die; Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

1:34 PM ET: This game has lost a little bit of its luster in recent weeks with Ole Miss losing three of their last four games. During the first three weeks of October, it looked as though this game may be a de-facto SEC Semi-Final game as both teams were unbeaten at that point.

1:32 PM ET: My name is Matthew Evans and I will be your host for today’s game. I’d like to thank you for joining me throughout the College Football season to this point, this will be my regular season finale before massive coverage during the bowl season.
