As a part of ESPN's Tip-Off Marathon, the Oregon Ducks defeated the Detroit Titans by a score of 83-66 at the Matthew Knight Arena, in Eugene, Oregon. This was game was part of regional round of the Progressive Legends Classic.

The Oregon Ducks are look completely different than they were this time last year, but nonetheless, in their first two games of the season they have looked impressive. Joseph Young took over the game in the second half after having a terrible first half, but shot an abysmal 1-12 from beyond the three point line. Oregon could have won by a much more comfortable margin had he drained a few more of those shots. Young did play well in the second half though, ended the night with 22 points, after just having four of them in the first 20 minutes.

Jalil Abdul-Bassit contributed with 17 points, including the all-important three pointer that took the lead for the Ducks for good with 15 minutes left to go. Detroit did not play badly in the first half as they made shot after shot after shot, going toe-to-toe with the Pac-12 school. Juwan Howard Jr led the Titans with 16 point, followed closely by Jarrod Williams with 15 points. Another Titan added double figures as well, putting up 14 points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal on the night.

Detroit will next take on Michigan at the Crisler Center this coming Thursday. Next up for Oregon will be matching up with Toledo Friday evening in Eugene.
