3:00 PM EST: Getting closer to game time. Kickoff for Alabama/Texas A&M is scheduled for 3:30! Tune in here! I'm Mitchell Evans and I'll be joining you on this adventure!

1:32 PM EST: “We also have to throw the ball more effective in other ways. And utilize as many people as we need to,” said Alabama head coach Nick Saban. “Because we have confidence in all of our receivers and our tight ends and our backs that they can be effective in the passing game.

1:31 PM EST: Texas A&M has given up an average of 241 rushing yards and a combined four rushing touchdowns this year. If Alabama wants to get their identity rolling they'll need to  run the football against the Aggies. It's definitely do-able.

1:30 PM EST: Alabama has arguably the best receiver in the country in Amari Cooper. Cooper has 54 catches compared to the next highest on the team which is 16. The pass game runs through Cooper, and Cooper alone. Taking shots down the field are not bad by any means, but if you get carried away you'll start losing drives and forgetting what kind of team you are.

1:29 PM EST: That quote says it all. By "roots" Saban means running the football consistently and well, as well as short, high-percentage throws for the quarterback.

"I just think it's more important for us to go back to the basics of what we need to do to execute and make better judgments, choices and decisions of how we distribute the ball, and we'll be just fine," said Saban.

1:28 PM EST: This game could turn it around for Alabama or Texas A&M. It also could kill their season hopes at a championship.

Coming into this thing, nobody said this was going to be easy,” Sumlin said. “This is a difficult league. There’s no doubt that based on the last two weeks ... we’ve got to play better.

1:27 PM EST: The defense usually gives Alabama the pass game. The Crimson Tide have been known as a run-hard football team and pounding between the tackles. Some of that may have been lost, but it can be quick to retrieve that.

1:26 PM EST: Alabama coach Nick Saban said, “I think that we have to do a better job of executing all the way around. I don’t think we’ve blocked people on the perimeter like we could have, or should have, or have. And I think it’s important that at the quarterback position we execute and do the things, and take what the defense gives us.”

"We just have to stick to our technique, buy into what the coaches are saying and we'll be good,” said Tide running back T.J. Yeldon. “[The offensive line is] doing the right techniques, so we just have to keep practicing there. So we'll get better this week."

1:25 PM EST: Alabama dropped to #7 because of a loss to Ole Miss. That loss, which really shouldn't have been lost, will haunt them all year. Alabama may have gotten carried away with their quarterback in Blake Sims. Sims was completing 73% of his passes, then after a few weeks, that percentage dropped to 55. Maybe, just maybe, Alabama needs to get back on track to their core which is the run game.

1:24 PM EST:Hill has been really good this year and is a good quarterback, but after week 1, where Hill threw for 500 yards, the whole nation forgot about Johnny Manziel and any other team for that matter and all the attention was on Hill. It may have gone too far. In fact, this writer is positive it went too far.

1:23 PM EST: Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin had some words to say on that and this writer thinks it was a must to say. He obviously still believes in Hill, and well, maybe we were too high on him in the beginnig. In fact, the nation was too high on Hill.

1:21 PM EST: Kenny Hill won the quarterback job for A&M, and some early heisman notice, with stellar performances through the first month of the season. After a 13:2 touchdown to interception ratio, it fell to 10:6. “What happens is that attitude when you win is seen one way, and that attitude when you lose is viewed another way,” Sumlin said of Hill. “I think he’s stayed the same, the perception of him has changed.”

1:20 PM EST: The #7 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide take on the #21 ranked Texas A&M in a matchup that is crucial to each team for future rankings and specifically for Alabama for their chance at ranking in the top 4 and moving into the college football playoffs.
