Things aren’t getting any better for the Houston Rockets. Following an early exit in the Western Conference semifinals against the Lakers last season, and the departure of GM Daryl Morey as well as Head coach Mike D’Antoni, it turns out one of their two stars is on its way out of ‘H-Town’.

The Athletic’s Shams Charania has reported Russell Westbrook wants out of Houston and has demanded a trade.

'Russ' reportedly told the team he's "uneasy about the team's accountability and culture" and wants to return to being a floor general like he was at Oklahoma City.

Despite this, former MVP James Harden is still committed to stay with the organization. The Arizona State product has been with the Rockets since

The SoCal native still has three years and $132.6 million remaining on his contract. Westbrook was acquired by Houston from Oklahoma City in a trade in which they sent Chris Paul, two first-round picks and other draft considerations to the Thunder.

There's no doubt the team underachieved this past season. After one year in Texas, the nine-time All-Star Westbrook played in 57 games where he averaged 27.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7 assists per contest.

During the offseason, the Rockets have done everything in their hands to start from scratch with the same core of players. Not only did they hire Stephen Silas as they're new Head Coach, but also  promoted John Lucas to lead assistant after a tenure as player development under D'Antoni.
