Due to the absence of Trevor Ariza, the Portland Trail Blazers have made a solid pick-up ahead of the resumed NBA season in Orlando.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN, Portland decided to sign Jaylen Adams as a substitute player. The St. Bonaventure product was the G-League's MVP runner-up with Wisconsin.

Adams had previously signed a 10-day contract with the Milwaukee Bucks but was cut during the 2019-20 training camp. He recorded averages of 20.9 points, 5.2 assists, 4.9 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 3.7 turnovers in 34 games with Wisconsin this season.

Jaylen, who played the previous season with the Atlanta Hawks, has spent most of his time as a professional in the G-League, after going undrafted in 2018.
