Many draft experts couldn't believe Bobby Portis was still available and neither could the Bulls. With the likes of R.J. Hunter on the board, the Bulls chose Bobby Portis and he could be a steal for Chicago.

Bobby Portis is a scorer. He averaged 17.7 points per game and averaged 8.9 rebounds per game. He is going to be following the trend of good big men that the Bulls have on their team already. With the likes of Pau Gasol and Taj Gibson at the helm, the Bulls got another good low post scorer in Portis. He also has a solid mid range game and is reportedly looking to expand that to the three point line. Right now, he is looking like a mix of Taj Gibson and Nikola Mirotic. Portis is also a great rebounder and can run the floor. With new head coach Fred Hoiberg's offense is suppose to be fast paced, having a big man that can run the floor will help out. Portis's arrival could also signal the end of the Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson in Chicago. The Bulls are now full in the front court and someone will have to go. It will be interesting to see where Chicago puts Portis and how they use him.

The only problem with Portis is that he is put in the power forward position. He will have to learn how to use his post moves more than his jump shot. He is not the best athlete but he can rebound. His rebounding and defense reminds everyone of a Zach Randolph type player.

It will be an interesting offseason for the Chicago Bulls. They must re-sign Jimmy Butler and decide what how they can move up the roster. They didn't fill a need but they chose the best player and Bobby Portis can be a steal in this draft for Chicago.
