The Hornets just recently acquired forward Nicolas Batum from the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Noah Vonleh and Gerald Henderson. Charlotte gets a very versatile player in Batum. He mainly plays at the three but can be a solid stretch four at times. But with the likes of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist at the three, the best fit for Batum would be the four. Unless Charlotte views they are moving on from MKG as well. This creates a log jam at the four position with the many big men that the Hornets have. But the Hornets are now shopping Cody Zeller for a more versatile wing via Yahoo Sports. That could also mean the end of MKG in Charlotte as well. After moving Lance Stephenson, the Hornets are now in shopping mode and are going to be desperate to dump Zeller to any team with a versatile wing.

Yahoo also reported that the Hornets would mostly take Frank Kaminsky if they move Zeller. Drafting Kaminsky makes sense since Zeller only shoots 35 percent from mid-range and Kaminsky has more shooting range than Zeller does, although he has been improving his range. His size has proven to be a problem in the post so improving his jump shot is a must if he wants to stay in the league. But one has to wonder where Kaminsky would fit in with the Hornets. Will they put him possibly at the power forward position? Only time will tell.

Zeller offers a rebounding presence off the bench. Although he is improving his offensive game, he is still limited offensively. His role at the moment is being a good player that can give you solid minutes off the bench. But his limited offensive game and the fact he is coming off of a shoulder injury won't help his value. The Hornets will probably have to throw something in to sweeten the deal.

No teams have been exactly named as buyers for Zeller even though teams like the Memphis Grizzlies could be a good fit. Zeller and Kosta Koufos would make a decent big man combo coming off the bench considering they both play the same way. But don't expect the Hornets to get much from dealing Zeller.
