The game starts now!

The Hawks can clinch the Southeast with a win or a Wizards loss. It'll be the Hawks' first division title since the 1993-94 season.

Who's ready? The NBA's two best teams are close to tip off!

The Hawks have to get off to a hot start. Falling behind to the Warriors early in the game will make it extremely difficult to get that win. It may not be the case for the Hawks as they have overcome plenty of double digit deficits this season. Atlanta will have to come out with the same intensity as Golden State. Oracle Arena will be extremely tough to play in tonight as both teams will perform in front of an electric crowd on national television.

Atlanta cannot get into foul trouble early. This applies to players such as Kent Bazemore. Bazemore will start in place of Korver and a scenario of foul trouble will hurt the Hawks as their depth at the shooting guard position is not that strong. Paul Millsap getting into foul trouble will also hurt as the Hawks are without forward Mike Scott for four to six weeks due to a broken toe. Luckily for Atlanta, bigs such as Elton Brand and Pero Antic have been getting a lot of minutes during this road trip and that helps add that much needed depth at power forward. Millsap and Carroll both dominated up front in their win versus Sacramento by combining for 39 points.

Dominating on the boards is also key for both teams. Golden State and Atlanta both have a good set of big men. The Hawks have Paul Millsap and also Pero Antic coming off the bench that can match up efficiently against Draymond Green and Andrew Bogut. Al Horford is also in that equation for the Hawks.

Atlanta will also need a big game from their backcourt to get a win against Golden State tonight. Jeff Teague and Dennis Schroder have both shined during this road trip. Teague had 23 points, six assists, and four rebounds  in their win versus the Sacramento Kings in their previous game and Schroder had 24 points and 10 assists versus the Lakers on March 15th. This tandem has proved to be one of the best combo guards in the NBA, and with the absence of Klay Thompson at the two position, they can both have a big night. Shelvin Mack even has the potential to post some numbers. He had 14 points versus Sacramento. Teague leads the Hawks in assists at 7.2 per game.

Stephen Curry shoots 42 percent from behind the arc for Golden State. Curry is averaging 23 points per game for the Warriors. Atlanta's Kyle Korver leads the league in three-point field goal percentage at 50 percent but will not be able to showcase that tonight. One key to victory for both teams is limiting the other at the three-point line.

Justin Holiday will replace Thompson for the game versus Atlanta. Thompson was huge for Golden State in their last matchup against Atlanta as he had 29 points, four rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one block. Each squad has other three-point weapons, though. Jeff Teague, DeMarre Caroll, and Paul Millsap each have a hot spot on the three-point line at the perimeter. Kent Bazemore can also come off the bench and his niche is at the corner three.

The Hawks and Warriors will most likely light up the scoreboard with their three-point shooting. Klay Thompson and Kyle Korver are both out for both teams due to injuries. Thompson has an ankle injury, and Korver has a broken nose. Korver suffered that injury in the Hawks' win against the Los Angeles Lakers on March 15th. He is expected to miss one more game. A mask is being made for him so he can play in the Hawks' game versus the San Antonio Spurs on March 22nd.

In their previous matchup, the Hawks beat the Warriors in Atlanta, 124-116, on February 6th. The Warriors led a perocious second half rally, but the Hawks' efforts behind the three-point line helped seal the win late in the fourth quarter.

The best of the Eastern and Western Conference will colide in Oakland, California. The Warriors are coming in at 53-13 and the Hawks are at 53-14. Golden State has been impressive at home with a 30-2 record. Atlanta has been road warriors this year, as they have an exceptional 23-10 record away from home.

Hello, everyone. Welcome to the Live event of the Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors at the Oracle Arena, part two of arguably the game of the season and a potential NBA Finals matchup. Stay tuned on VAVEL for more updates.
