In one of the most exciting games of the season, the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Phoenix Suns, 121-120, in overtime on a game-winning three pointer from Blake Griffin who finished the night with 45 points.

The Phoenix Suns’ Eric Bledsoe also had a phenomenal game, as he bested Chris Paul on the court. Bledsoe finished the night with 27 points, making eight of 16 shot attempts while making all nine of his costless throw attempts. It wasn’t just the numbers though. It was his ability to make plays for his teammates, do all of the little things for his teammates, as he also finished the night with an amazing 16 assists while also getting his first triple-double of his career. On the other side of the ball, Chris Paul played very well too, but only managed to finish the night with 20 points and 10 assists.

It was Blake Griffin who stole the show, however. As mentioned before, he finished with 45 points on 14-of-24 shooting, with only missing two of his 17 costless throw attempts. In the third quarter of tonight’s game, Griffin finished one of the most ferocious dunks you’ll see all season long. He would finish that quarter with eleven of the Clippers' 29 points, as his team pulled away from the Suns.

But that fourth quarter was a battle. The two sides were getting very heated, as temperatures reached its pinnacle when Jamal Crawford got ejected from the game for the first time in his career, which started 14 years ago. From that point on, the Suns went on a 23-7 run, followed up quickly by a 9-0 Clippers run as this game would eventually go into overtime.

The overtime period, itself, was not very good in the basketball sense, as both sides only combined for a total of 17 points. Refs made a huge impact during this game, as they made some poor calls on both sides of the court. However, J.J. Reddick got an easy lay in late in overtime, which eventually led to the game-winning shot. Blake Griffin stepped back to make sure that he was behind the three-point line and with P.J. Tucker in his face, he got a lucky bounce off of the front of the rim, and the ball found its way through the hoop to give the Clippers their eighth consecutive victory.

The Los Angeles Clippers will take to the road once more, as they play the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday evening. Meanwhile, the Suns will have to forget about this game quickly, as they play hosts to the Miami Heat tomorrow night.
