The Phoenix Suns fell apart late as they lost to the Sacramento Kings 114-112, in a game that took two overtimes to decide.

The Suns had control of the game heading into the fourth quarter like any team would with an 11-point lead. But the Kings put it together in the fourth quarter and doubled up the Suns 22-11, which ultimately forced overtime.

DeMarcus Cousins had yet another big game for the Kings, scoring 25 points and reeling in an impressive 18 rebounds. But what is even more impressive than that is the fact that the Kings played both overtime periods without Cousins and still managed to win the ball game. Cousins fouled out in the fourth quarter, as did Markieff Morris for the Suns. Morris finished with 16 points.

Eric Bledsoe led Phoenix with 23 points and eight assists but shot just 9-for-19 from the field. Goran Dragic had 22 points and made his first three pointer of the season after missing his first 11 attempts on the year. Perhaps the key factor in the Suns' third loss of the season and second at home was the lackluster performance from the bench. P.J. Tucker was the only one to reach double digits with 15 points. Isaiah Thomas, a former Sacramento King, only scored three points on 1-of-4 shooting from three-point range in 17 minutes. Thomas was averaging nearly 19 points per game previously coming off the bench.

The Suns face another tough foe at home in the undefeated (4-0) Golden State Warriors on Sunday. The Kings will look to continue their hot start as they play the Oklahoma City Thunder next on the same night.
