The Rivas Giants are the current champions of the National Professional Baseball League, after defeating the Tren del Norte team by a final score of 7-4 in the Final Series. The series lasted 6 games. Nicaragua, along with Panama and Curacao, were invited to the Caribbean party.

Statements by Puerto Rico's ninth team
Yadier Molina will lead his first Caribbean Series at the helm of the Puerto Rican National Team, and he took the opportunity to highlight the qualities of the experienced group with major league experience.
"We have a good group of guys who care about winning, and that is very important. Chemistry is very important, apart from talent. And we have the talent and the chemistry. I believe that good things are going to happen".
The Puerto Rican manager clarified that he already has a very defined style of play to go far in this Caribbean Series, so he let it be known that games are not only won with home runs, and Puerto Rico will play classic baseball with "the little book under the arm" to hurt the pitching rotation and achieve title number 17.
"We will play with the little things, like ball touches, hit and run, play the bases, be active with pitching and defense."

The manager of the Nicaraguan ninth team, Marvin Benard, recognized the work of the coaching staff.
"They have dedicated their time and have played a good role and in these days I liked the chemistry we saw to get to fight because we are not going (to the tournament) for a walk".
He also spoke about the decision to choose the Dominican, Luis Ramirez, as the starter for the first game before Puerto Rico.
"There are players who demand things from you, when a player demands things from you, it means that he wants to, that he has love and that he wants to fight and, from the first day it was seen, since he joined the practices that he wanted to be number one. So we feel comfortable with that, so we go with that".
Lastly, the serpentine, Luis Ramirez talked about how he will face the powerful offense of Puerto Ricom.
"We are analyzing their weaknesses, they swing more to put the ball in play."
How does the Puerto Rican ninth team arrive?
Puerto Rico will be represented by the Criollos de Caguas, reigning champions of the Puerto Rican winter league. The Puerto Rican ninth team earned its ticket to the Caribbean Series after defeating the Carolina Giants 4-1 in the final and winning its 21st championship in the Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League. Their manager will be Yadier Molina and the roster will include 13 players with Major League experience, making them one of the candidates to win the title.
How does the Nicaraguan novena arrive?
The ninth led by Marvin Bernardo will be one of the two invited to the Caribbean Series and will participate in the tournament for the first time in its history. The Rivas Giants will debut against their Puerto Rican counterpart, the Criollos de Caguas.
