Whilst the injury curse that plagued WWE around WrestleMania 32 might be over, the company is still not injury free with both Tyson Kidd and Shelton Benjamin out of action with serious injuries.

Kidd has spent over a year on the shelf following a horrific neck injury after taking a bad bump from a Muscle Buster by Samoa Joe whilst Benjamin never even got to make his triumphant return to the company, failing his medical due to a serious injury he sustained on the independent scene.

Tyson Kidd's injury couldn't have come at a worse time, finally being recognized for his talents after pairing up with Cesaro the tag team were proving very popular amongst WWE fans. Now over a year later, Kidd isn't anywhere closer to making a return to the ring as he revealed recently that he still can't feel his head and doesn't have the same range of movement he did prior to his injury.

Kidd's career is very much hanging in the balance with many believing that it is unlikely he will ever wrestle again, yet he has recently signed a new WWE contract despite rumors stating that it wouldn't be getting renewed. This shows that the company still hopes to have Kidd around, even if in a non-wrestling role and the former Tag Team Champion has stated he is focusing on his rehabilitation and continues to work on his health in a bid to return.

Shelton Benjamin's status

Shelton Benjamin's injury update is thankfully more positive. The former WWE superstar revealed that one month after his operation things are going well and that he can begin to rehab soon meaning he will be able to start working on getting back to the ring.

However, what isn't known is whether he will return to WWE once he does get fit again. Benjamin was set to return to boost the SmackDown roster following the brand split but the Gold Standard superstar has tweeted out claiming that from November he is available for bookings (non-physical) at shows which would suggest he isn't under an official WWE contract.
