Brie Bella retired from WWE at WrestleMania 32, helping team Total Divas pick up a victory during the pre-show, ending her career by being lifted up by her co-workers with her sister, Nikki Bella by her side. Brie recently conducted an interviewed with AOL's BUILD series where she discussed her retirement as well as the retirement of her husband, Daniel Bryan.

Retirement talk

Brie spoke about having to watch her husband struggle towards the end of her contract admitting that it was, "hard as a wife to see that" especially considering she only had "two months of her contract remaining." With the Bella twin wanting to simply enjoy her final few months she instead had to remain strong as Bryan was denied the opportunity to get back into the ring, a difficult period for the couples lives.

Nikki, who was also being interviewed as the twins promoted new show, Total Bella's,  also spoke of that time admitting that she had a major fallout with her brother-in-law as she felt he wasn't supporting Brie towards the end of her career, stating they had a "massive fight." However, Nikki wasn't aware of the situation that was going on regarding Bryan's health and she revealed that the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion "cussed" at her, something she claimed he never does but Nikki admitted she had "drove him to get that anrgy."

Whilst Brie ended her time with WWE on the 'Grandest Stage Of Them All', she stated that she "didn't really want to retire" and that it was a "bittersweet" situation for her. On one had, she wanted to continue wrestling, but on the other her maternal instincts were kicking in and her desire to become a parent ultimately won out.

Unfortunately for Brie she can't "take back bumps and have a baby" and she had to make the hard decision of retiring from WWE, but with Total Bella's she will remain in the spotlight and a return for a one-off match can never be written off down the line.
