John Cena has had some notable feuds during his professional wrestling career but only one has ever led to the coveted 'five-star' match, with that man no longer a part of WWE.

CM Punk was the man that truly got the best of out of the 15-time world champion, as the two went head-to-head in in 2011.

Now five-years later, however, their careers have taken very different paths, and the chance of the duo ever meeting inside the squared circle again seem slim.

Punk return

Cena is currently experiencing something of a hot-streak in WWE with his recent bouts against AJ Styles some of the best in his career.

The former independent wrestler, much like Punk, has been able to connect with The Face that Runs the Place, but what would happen if he were to cast his Mixed Martial Arts career to one side and return from the wild?

Currently, The Cult of Personality is recovering after being humbled by Mickey Gall in his first professional fight in the UFC, losing via submission in the first round.

With the future of Punk still up in the air following his defeat, Cena was questioned by TMZ about his thoughts on if his former foe would ever return to WWE.

He said "If I know one thing about my boss Vince McMahon, he always does what is good for business,  if it is good for business it will work out."

Cena answered the impromtu question in a very professional manner and never referred to Punk by name, instead he chose to focus on Mr. McMahon's perspective on the subject.

He continued "The name in the question doesn't matter about that, if it's good for business it'll work out."

The future of Punk has not been answered by the Leader of the Cenation but like he said, if it good for business, the 37-year-old may well find himself back inside a WWE ring.

The Today Show

With many believing that Cena is entering his final few years as a professional wrestler the question of whether he will take up a permanent position on The Today Show cropped up.

The 39-year-old offered an interesting response and did not officially deny the reports that have suggested he is interested in the position.

He said "I have made a pretty fortunate path for myself just by taking advantage of every opportunity... if they give me a chance, I will do the best I can."

He continued "I love working with the Today Show crew, anytime they'll have me on, I will try to go on, they make me feel like family, they make me feel at home. I love that atmosphere."
