Kurt Angle has managed to stay an iconic figure in the wrestling world since the 1990's with his status still as big as ever today.

Despite The Olympic Hero leaving WWE in 2006 he is one of few that has stayed on top in the world of sports entertainment.

Now a free agent competing across several independent promotions he has once again made headlines via a simple Facebook question and answer session.

The basic questions

Angle is one of the world's most respected performers and if he tells you he likes what you're doing there a few better signs of approval than his.

The 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist answered questions from his fan-base covering a variety of topics but it was the core wrestling questions that obviously stuck out.

The 47-year-old talked about who his favorite independent wrestler is currently to which he said, "Chris Hero" saying that he can "deliver for his size" and called the 36-year-old, "gifted."

Sticking with the independent scene, sort of, Angle was quizzed on his thoughts on The Cruiserweight Classic which he admitted that he had not seen "much of it."

The tournament brought 32 of the best cruiserweights from around the world together in an effort to crown a sole victor but the veteran said he was "happy" that "[Zack] Sabre Jr was in it."

Favorite Current WWE stars

The main question that attracted interest from the wrestling community was which WWE superstars were personal favorites of Angle.

It was widely suggested that he would be returning to the company earlier this year but the rumors have since cooled as the former World Champion has already been booked for a number of independent shows.

On his favorites, he said, "[Seth] Rollins, [AJ] Styles, Cesaro, Rusev. They're all gifted wrestlers."

Angle categorized his favorites to watch and mentioned others he still enjoys watching in the veteran category including, "The Undertaker, [Brock] Lesnar, [John] Cena."

He continued and talked about his favorite women to watch and his opinion is predominantly shared within the WWE Universe as he outed "Charlotte" and "[Sasha] Banks" as his preferred choices.

The Randoms

Many of the questions put forward shared no wrestling affiliation whatsoever but many fans will still have been interested to hear Angle's perspective away from the squared circle.

With that in mind regarding his favorite Hollywood Movie, it was no surprise that he selected "Rocky" with the two men both American Icons in the sporting industry.

Peanut butter thankfully is not involved in the wrestling world but to some, it was important to know where the former TNA man stood on the whole 'Chunky versus Creamy' debate.

Angle said "Chunky; If I am going to eat it, I am going to eat it like a real man."

The final question may also double as a helpful tip as he was asked whether he plays an instrument, his answer may come as some surprise given the lack of free time the performers have but he said, "Yes."

He continued "Drums. I played drums for 20-years. I was pretty good at it. Allowed me to relax while preparing for the Olympics. Great stress reducer."
