Kevin Owens who seems to have recently coincided with Chris Jericho is by no means unsure of his talent as he spoke with the media recently.

The former Ring of Honor Champion has already picked up The Intercontinental Championship twice and if you had not already heard he defeated John Cena in his first match on the main roster.

Now an established performer in WWE, he is sure that will be the superstar that rises from The New Era.

On who will emerge from the New Era

Owens does not strike the WWE Universe as a performer that needs to be full of praise for other performers as his arrogance is clearly something he radiates.

With that being said rather than offer his thoughts on his fellow wrestlers over who will perhaps make a name for themselves in The New Era, The Prizefighter jumped at the chance to put himself over.

He said "The only thing that matters to me is what I do and how I do it. You're asking me who will emerge from the New Era. As humbly as I can put it, within a few months or a few years, people will see that I am the best thing on RAW, the best thing in WWE."

So it seems that the 32-year-old has set himself a target and having already accomplished so much in such a sport space of time; who would put it past him?

On being a late-pick in the draft

The Draft, which upon reflection, was a pretty flawed idea that left a number of high profile superstars as free agents flagged up another issue as Owens was drafted late in the proceedings.

On the "slap in the face" he said "I was picked way later than I should have been. I mean, I understand not being picked before Roman Reigns or John Cena or Ambrose or Seth Rollins, those guys have been the figureheads of WWE for several years now."

The performer seems to understand the reason why he may not have been the first few picks as he arrived on the main roster in only May 2015 but was not pleased to be such a late choice.

He continued "I even understand being picked above Charlotte, who was the Women's Champion at the time, and who was the face of the Women's division. Even Finn Balor, who was coming up from NXT - he's a big deal. But being picked as late as I was was kind of a slap in the face, to be honest."

Despite feeling as disrespected as he was it seems that Owens is willing to sweep that under the carpet and focus on improving himself as he said "I'll use it as motivation as to why I should be the face of RAW."

On Mick Foley

'Stone Cold' Steve Austin is the icon for many wrestling fans with his no nonsense attitude and his constant ridicule of his boss something many wish as a symptom of reality.

However it seems Owens is trying his hand at winding up the management as he said "I get to share RAW with him and I guess that will make for interesting television. I'm looking forward to our verbal jousts... unfortunately we'll never be able to get in the ring together."

The difference between Stone Cold and The Prizefighter it that one boss is the epitome of evil Vince McMahon while the other is the lovable Mick Foley, but still seeing an employee standing up the boss is always interesting.

Suggesting a fight between you and your boss is a fantasy that many can relate to and it seems that K.O. is willing to take on The Hardcore Legend possibly to better his career.

He finished with "I don't think he'll be able to walk out. Unless... we'll here's the challenge: Mick if you hear this then I'm all for it. Prove me wrong."

With Foley on the wrong side of 50 at 51-years-old it is unlikely that the father of four with nothing left to prove will be making a return to the squared circle anytime soon, bang bang.
