The women's roster during the Brand Extension Draft was split up, with some moving to Raw while others became features on SmackDown Live.

While the Monday Night flagship show seems to be dominating with their females receiving as much exposure as their male counterparts, the blue brand may be adding an old flame to their female fire.

WWE Veteran switched to SmackDown?

For all the Naomi and Carmella's of the roster, there seems to be a distinguished female leader missing within the SmackDown women.

That is no disrespect to the talent on offer, as they are all for the most part equal, with possibly Becky Lynch the front candidate for supremacy following her victory over Natalya.

However, despite the young call-ups yet to make an impact, it may be an old face that gets the ball rolling as former 'Diva' Victoria is teasing something for tonight's SmackDown Live.

She posted on Twitter a tweet that hinted at something happening tonight which read "I was told by @stitchedupadam that this week's WWE Smackdown is a must see. Not sure why. Hmmmm." Whether or not she will appear remains to be seen but the prospect of an unexpected return is exciting.

The 45-year-old worked for WWE up until 2009 picking up the Women's Championship twice before moving to TNA. During her time with TNA. she notched the Women's Knockout Championship five times and the Knockouts Tag-Team titles once also.

With the veteran boasting an impressive resume and with little left to prove, having an established performer such as her fall victim to a young up and comer would be a perfect way to establish the female dominance in the New Era.

Other stars returning

It seems that ever since WWE announced their Brand Extension the list of former performers linked with a return has been endless.

With Shelton Benjamin set to return to SmackDown Live Tuesday night and Jinder Mahal joining back up on Raw last night, it seems the rumors will continue to swirl.

Kurt Angle is one name continuing to be brought up again and again but the American Hero is set for an extended run on the independent scene with a showing at late as October blocking any chance of a return.

Roderick Strong is set to sign for WWE according to Dave Meltzer as the former Ring of Honor star waved goodbye to the fans at a recent house show.

Brian Kendrick who advanced into the second round of The Cruiserweight Classic last week is also a rumored name but so far nothing has been discussed however a few of the other contenders in the tournament has peaked WWE's interest and could sign for the company before the end.
