When The Diva's Revolution was first established in the summer of last year it was subject to adversity and ridicule from many within the WWE Universe.

One woman that seemed to thrive under the label was the star of Total Divas; Nikki Bella who took the label of 'Diva' and created her own mini-empire.

The 32-year-old has been out of action for nearly nine months but a return for the longest reigning Diva's Champion is on the horizon.

Bella is back

Despite the rumors and suggestion that Bella would partner Sasha Banks at Battleground, thankfully these turned out not to be true as the NXT superstar Bayley teamed up with The Boss to take on Charlotte and Dana Brooke.

The performer who began her wrestling career in 2007 suffered a neck injury which ultimately required surgery in late 2015 and after months of rehabilitation it seems that she is edging closer to a return.

Bella who is in a long-term relationship with John Cena has been training at the WWE Performance Center but despite her efforts is still set to miss out on featuring at SummerSlam.

While her sister Brie wrestled her last match at WrestleMania 32, Nikki is set to continue for the next few years at least and is expected to make her return to the squared circle sometime in September.

The resounding success of the recent WWE draft that saw each active superstar (with the exception of Heath Slater) drafted to either Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live, did, however, leave the audience with some unanswered questions.

Just like Triple H, Tamina, and The Undertaker, Nikki Bella was left undrafted with her injury and unconfirmed return date probable reasons why.

However, with her partner Cena on the blue brand and with the female stars of the same roster lacking real star power, it is believed that SmackDown is where the 32-year-old will wind up.
