It is just over a year to the day that three of the Four Horsewomen made their surprise debuts on the main roster after being promoted from NXT. Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte have since gone on to take the division by storm, including a show-stealing triple threat match at WrestleMania over the returning Women's Championship.
But whilst they have been basking in their glory and the WWE Universe has become exposed to more women's wrestling on the main roster, down in NXT, Bayley has been at the top of her game as NXT Women's Champion and has become one of, if not the most, popular superstar in the brand. When she didn't debut with the three women who she helped change the division with, most fans accepted it as Bayley was given the chance to be the champion and prove herself on her own. Yet, nobody expected it to take quite this long for Bayley to move to the main roster, with most people expecting her to have debuted already. However, it seems that her debut could finally be just around the corner.
Battleground debut?
Ever since Sasha Banks made her return to WWE T.V. she has been feuding with Charlotte and her protege, Dana Brooke and it was announced this week on SmackDown that Banks will face both Charlotte and Brooke at Battleground. But the match will not be a handicap, instead, Banks will have a 'mystery' tag team partner and according to a rumor on NoDQ.com, that partner might be NXT's Bayley.
With the brand split coming up it would be a perfect time to bring Bayley to the main roster as the company hopes to have two rosters with enough depth and quality to make the split work, as well as the fact that Bayley is one of the most popular wrestler's in the company.
Even though Bayley seems to be the perfect option with her history with Banks, she is not the only one. Paige was involved in this feud early on, helping Banks in tag team matches and WWE could call back to that as they look to push her again. Another option could be a returning Nikki Bella, she has recently commented on her injury status and is expected to be returning soon, this could provide a way to do that and potentially put her in the title picture.
